Sunday, April 15, 2018 South West Michigan-Overnight Ice, More Coming

Currently 42 with an average wind of ENE wind of 16 mph dropping that down to feeling like 35 degrees. Dew Point 36, Humidity 77%, Barometer 29.77 & falling, Visibility 7 mi, Sunrise 7:03 am, Sunset 8:22pm. Cloudy today with a 70% chance of additional precipitation. High 45. ENE winds 10 -20 mph.

100% chance of overnight rain. 1″ possible. Low 34. ENE winds 20 – 30 mph.

Although rain is forecast for today, we have just had an alert issued for sleet. Which is worrisome for tonight, too. That 100% chance of overnight rain just might turn out to be more ice and right now we’ve got plenty of that coating everything.  .64″ of precipitation in the rain gauge this morning but that was a combination of rain, snow, ice. There is ice on every surface that I see outside this morning. If a Winter Storm comes along, I so wish, as much as I detest snow, we would get into the snow range rather than ice like we did this one. Ice is treacherous and tricky. Dangerous.
