Monday, Nov. 30, 2020-SW Michigan-No Sunshine, But No Snow Or Rain

Currently 31 with an average wind from the WNW of 10 mph. Feels like 22 degrees. Dew Point 29, Barometer 29.84, Humidity 92%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:53 am, Sunset 5:08 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a high in the lower 30s. N W winds 15-20 with gusts to around 30.

Mostly cloudy overnight with a low in the upper 20s. NW winds 10 – 15 mph with gust to 25.

Not a charming morning. Rather gray and gloomy but it’s not raining and it’s not snowing, so there is that. All in all not a bad last day of November. We’ve seen far worse in the past and likely will in the future, but not this time around. Good enough.

Cloudy overnight with a low in the lower 30s. N winds 10 -15 mph with gusts to 25.

It’s a grand morning. Sunny, hardly a significant cloud in the sky and no snow mentioned in the next 10 day forecast. How much better could this be for an end of November in Michigan? It couldn’t. You won’t hear anything anywhere near a complaint from this source. Just going to enjoy the sunshine – and lack of snow.

Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020-SW Michigan-Sunny Saturday For Us

Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020-SW Michigan-Sunny Saturday For Us

Currently 41 with an average wind from the S of 6 mph. Feels like 39 degrees. Dew Point 30, Barometer 30.1, Humidity 64%, Visibility 10 mi, Sunrise 7:51 am, Sunset 5:09 pm.

Mostly clear. Low in the mid 30s. SW winds 5 -15 mph.

Sunny and a bit brisk today, but nothing to complain about this entire weekend. Sunshine and 40 degrees for the end of November is nothing short of lovely. Plus, it looks as if we’re going to miss out on the snow storm that seems set on passing to the south in the early part of the week. Makes me even more happy. Altogether being blessed with wonderful weather this month.

Wonderful that the temperatures in Michigan at the end of November are still in the 40 degree range. Won’t stay there for long, but every day feels like a gift. November has been an exceptional month in my state. We’ve had many years where it’s been cold, snowy and ugly. This one has been a keeper. Of course, we’d have to keep any one given to us, but for some we can be grateful. Some we strive to exist through.

Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020-SW Michigan-Happy Thanksgiving Day

Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020-SW Michigan-Happy Thanksgiving Day

Currently 42 with an average wind from the SSW of 5 mph. Feels like 37 degrees. Dew Point 42, Barometer 29.95, Humidity 100%, Visibility 8 mi., Sunrise 7:49 am, Sunset 5:10 pm.

Cloudy with patchy fog. High in the mid 40s. W winds 5 -10 mph with gusts to 25.

Mostly cloudy. Low in the upper 30sd. SW winds 5 -10 mph with gusts to 20.

Not a bright day, but not snowing – or raining – so I guess it goes into the plus column. Areas of fog showing up here and there, nothing heavy. Looks as if our temperatures are now set to drop down into the 3o degree daytime range. About right for the end of November.

I hope you are having, as much as possible in the weird year, the best Thanksgiving you can put together. Give thanks for what we have – and try for the day to forget what we’ve been forced to give up.

Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020-SW Michigan-Gray, Gloomy, Foggy, Rainy

Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020-SW Michigan-Gray, Gloomy, Foggy, Rainy

Currently 41 with an average wind from the ENE of 5 mph. Feels like 37 degrees. Dew Point 41, Barometer 29.93, Humidity 100%, Visibility 4 mi., Sunrise 7:47 am, Sunset 5:10 pm.

100% chance of rain showers. Areas of fog throughout the day. High in the mid 40s. SE winds becoming E in the afternoon.

80% chance of overnight rain. Areas of fog throughout. Low around 40. NE winds 5 -10 mph becoming NW.

Yesterday brought us a fairly steady snow which is now, thankfully, melting away. I’d much rather have the rain than the snow. Next couple of days will bring us temperatures in the lower 40s with some sunshine, some clouds. Hopefully, no more snow showers showing up until sometime Sunday night.

Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020-SW Michigan-Snowing Like Mad

Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020-SW Michigan-Snowing Like Mad

Currently 32 with an average wind from the S of 3 mph. Feels like 32 degrees. Dew Point 29, Barometer 30.23 & falling, Humidity 88%, Visibility 0.25 mi., Sunrise 7:46 am, Sunset 5:11 pm.

100% chance of snow. Possibly mixed with rain in the afternoon. High in the upper 30s. SE winds 10 -15 mph.

100% chance of overnight rain. Low in the mid 30s. S winds 5 -15 mph.

Didn’t look outside for about an hour and surprise – everything is covered with white. That ugly S word. It will, hopefully, all vanish later on today, but for now it’s not looking nice outside. Actually snowing quite heavy at the moment. A miserable sneak peek at what’s in store for us for way too long in the months ahead. For now, this will not stick and our Thanksgiving looks to be decent with good roads for those traveling. And in spite of the fear factor being hammered at us by the misguided media, plenty of people will be traveling to families for the holiday.

Monday, Nov. 23, 2020-SW Michigan- Chilly From Now On

Monday, Nov. 23, 2020-SW Michigan- Chilly From Now On

Currently 39 with an average wind from the NW of 5 mph. Feels like 39. Dew Point 31, Barometer 30.23, Humidity 71%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise7:45 am, Sunset 5:11 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of rain and snow showers until midday. High in the lower 40s. NW winds 5 -15 mph.

Partly cloudy. Low in the mid 20s. Light winds becoming SE 5 -10 mph.

Days in the 40s, nights in the 30s -sometimes slipping into the 20s. This seems to be the way it goes now. Until those numbers dip a bit farther. Which they will all too soon, I reckon. But one thing we can count on, is we won’t be wading through snow on Thanksgiving this year. Some years are different.

Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020-SW Michigan-Maybe Snow Showers Today

Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020-SW Michigan-Maybe Snow Showers Today

Currently 36 with an average wind from the E of 5 mph. Feels like 36 degrees. Dew Point 31, Barometer 30.24, Humidity 84%, Visibility 9 mi., Sunrise 7:44 am, Sunset 5:12 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of snow showers possibly mixed with rain showers until midday, then a slight chance of only rain. High around 40. Light winds. Precipitation 50%.

Mostly cloudy overnight. Low in the lower 30s. Light winds becoming W 5 -15 mph.

Not as nice a day as we’d like but hey…so far, no snow. We dodged the bullet as the coldest air up there didn’t get its act together for a major snow storm, so snow showers – probably rain – is the result. Happy about that. Won’t be the case forever when the winter season gets settled in, but for now we’re good.

Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020-SW Michigan-Mixed Bag Of Weather Ahead

Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020-SW Michigan-Mixed Bag Of Weather Ahead

Currently 40 with a calm wind from the NE, Feels like 40 degrees. Dew Point 31, Barometer 30.52, Humidity 70%, Visibility 10o mil, Sunrise 7:43 am, Sunset 5:13 pm.

Partly sunny until midday becoming mostly sunny. High in the lower 40s. Light winds.

Mostly cloudy. Low around 30. Light overnight winds.

Today won’t be bad. Tomorrow not so nice and until Thanksgiving we’ll get a few rainy/snow mix days. Thanksgiving day sounds fine for now. At least the bitter cold in places like Alaska are staying put and not drifting down into the states. Not for now, anyway. The longer that misery can hold off, the better. Won’t forever, but for now we’re safe – more or less.
