Look for a handful of 80-degree days leading up to next Thursday. That’s when some rain may set in and our temperatures will tumble into the 60s for daytime highs. Just enjoy this warmth while we have it. I know I will.

Friday, Sept. 29, 2023-SW Michigan-No Sunshine For Us Today

Friday, Sept. 29, 2023-SW Michigan-No Sunshine For Us Today

Currently 63 with an average wind from the NNE of 1 mph. Feels like 63 degrees. Dew Point 59, Barometer 30.01, Humidity 96%, Visibility 9 mi., Sunrise 7:37, Sunset 7:27 pm.

Nothing bright and shiny for us today, but don’t give up – it’s coming. We are in store for plenty of sunny days once we get past today. Some sites have rain showing up the end of next week, most don’t. So all in all, it looks like warm weather with plentiful sunshine for us for the first week of October. And we all know, it could be SO much worse here in Michigan. Glad to see our forecast appears to lean to the nice rather than the not so much. We’ll take it and happily so.

Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023-SW Michigan-Good Weather On The Way

Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023-SW Michigan-Good Weather On The Way

Currently 57 with an average wind from the NNE of 5 mph. Feels like 57 degrees. Dew Point 56, Barometer 29.98, Humidity 100%, Visibility 9 Mi., Sunrise 7:36 am, Sunset 7:29 pm.

Partly cloudy in the evening becoming mostly cloudy overnight. Low in the mid 50s. E winds 5-10 mph becoming light.

Maybe not so splendid today but better is on the way. Look for a week of plentiful sunshine and warm temperatures to end September and start off the month of October. Should be a terrific weekend to be out and about. In spite of not so happy weather scattered elsewhere around the nation, we are nestled in a sweet spot here in Michigan, and we should not only be grateful, but do whatever we can to take advantage of it all.  I hope you get the chance to do so.

Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023-SW Michigan-Maybe A Little More Rain Today

Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023-SW Michigan-Maybe A Little More Rain Today

Currently 59 with an average wind from the E of 4 mph. Feels like 59 degrees. Dew Point 59, Barometer 30.05, Humidity 97%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:34 am, Sunset 7:31 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers. Low mid 50s. E winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Once we get through today and tonight, it does appear to be smooth, sunny sailing for the rest of the week. Comfortable temperatures throughout.

It’s interesting looking at the National Weather Map these days. The Jet Stream is doing fantastic calisthenics and bringing a variety of weather across the country. We seem to be nestled somewhere in the middle, which is favorable weather for the most part. That’s us. Something I don’t care to see or hear about yet is cold in the far West. Even some snow in the higher elevations. Thankfully, nothing like that in the offing for us. Eventually, I reckon, but not now.

Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023-SW Michigan-Rain Expected Later Today

Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023-SW Michigan-Rain Expected Later Today

Currently 64 with an average wind from the ESE of 4 mph. Feels like 64 degrees. Dew Point 61, Barometer 30l06, Humidity 91%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:33 am, Sunset 7:32 pm.

60% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low in the upper 50s. E winds 10-20 mph with gusts to 30.

Nothing but a very light mist showing up this morning but a much better chance for rain later today and overnight. Look for some tomorrow, too. The weekend coming up, however, is looking grand with no precipitation to mess up outdoor activity.  Temperatures appear to be staying fairly steady in the 70-degree range. Not a bad week coming our way.

Monday, Sept. 25, 2023-SW Michigan-Possible Rain Tomorrow

Monday, Sept. 25, 2023-SW Michigan-Possible Rain Tomorrow

Currently 63 with an average wind from the ENE of 4 mph. Feels like 63 degrees. Dew Point 58, Barometer 30, Humidity 76%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:32 am, Sunset 7:34 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a sprinkle in the afternoon. High around 70. E winds 5-15 mph.

Partly cloudy overnight with that same chance for a sprinkle. Low in the upper 50s. E winds 5-10 mph.

Rain is rather doubtful for today but looks more likely Tuesday and Wednesday.  The rest of the week appears to be coming in dry, so those two days will probably be it this week. Cool weather seems to be holding off for the most part so I’m thinking Autumn color will be slow to develop this year. I guess we’ll see how that goes because we all know how quickly the weather pattern can change. But so far, pleasant and comfortable is the name of the game.

Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023-SW Michigan-Clouds Will Move In Later

Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023-SW Michigan-Clouds Will Move In Later

Currently 59 with an average wind from the ENE of 4 mph. Feels like 59 degrees. Dew Point 54, Barometer 29.97, Humidity 87%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:31 am, Sunset 7:36 pm.

Sunny until midday becoming partly sunny in the afternoon. High in the mid 70s. E winds 5-15 mph.

Mostly cloudy overnight with a low in the mid 50s. E winds 5-10 mph with gusts to 20 in the evening.

Clouds will continue to build up until they finally deliver some rain for us Tuesday and maybe Wednesday. Should dry out after that with pleasant weather coming the rest of the week. Some leaves are beginning to color up nicely. Not a whole lot yet, but the ones starting are bright and colorful.

Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023-SW Michigan-Pleasant Weather Pattern In Place

Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023-SW Michigan-Pleasant Weather Pattern In Place

Currently 64 with an average wind from the NE of 3 mph. Feels like 64 degrees. Dew Point 57, Barometer 30.05, Humidity 84%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:30 am, Sunset 7:38 pm.

Partly sunny until bout midday becoming mostly sunny. High in the mid 70s. E winds 5-15 mph.

Mostly clear with a low around 50. E winds 5-10 mph.

S0 – the official beginning of Autumn brings us a nice weather pattern that should please most everyone. Days in the 70-degree range, nights in the 50-degree range. Couldn’t ask for better weather than this, I don’t think. As of right now, there’s a tiny risk for some showers showing up next Tuesday, but it’s a small one that might well disappear by the time Tuesday rolls around. In the meantime, enjoy the sunshine and the agreeable temperatures.

Friday, Sept. 22, 2023-SW Michigan-Pleasant Weather Ahead

Friday, Sept. 22, 2023-SW Michigan-Pleasant Weather Ahead

Currently 63 with an average wind from the SE of 2 mph. Feels like 63-degrees. Dew Point 61, Barometer 30.12, Humidity 81%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:29 am, Sunset 7:46 pm.

Sunny today with a high in the lower 80s. SE winds 5-10 mph.

Mostly clear. Low in the mid 60s. E winds 5-10 mph.

Seems like nothing but good weather ahead of us for the next week. As of right now, there’s no rain in sight, cooling slightly after today’s high, but nothing harsh. Sounds like a dandy fall week with plentiful sunshine.  We already have some leaves beginning to change color but it’s early on yet. Lots of time for that fall beauty to develop. Anyway, a lovely weekend coming up for whatever you hope to do. Take advantage of it if you’re able.

Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023-SW Michigan-A Few Warm Days Before Back To 70s.

Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023-SW Michigan-A Few Warm Days Before Back To 70s.

Currently 70 with a calm wind from the SE. Feels like 70 degrees. Dew Point 61, Barometer 30.11, Humidity 61%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:28 am, Sunset 7:41 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of afternoon showers. High in the lower 80s. S winds around 5 mph.

Mostly cloudy overnight with a 20% chance of showers. Low around 60. Light winds.

Should see 80 degrees today, maybe tomorrow. Soon enough it dips down again into the 70s and won’t be too long before we’re seeing 60-degree days. Need to appreciate the warmth while we have it. I know I do.  And it does look as if the coming week will be dry in our area.

Waves of energy generated by Giant Solar Flares were destined to hit our planet today and tomorrow. Could have multiple effects including impacting ill health. Physical and mental symptoms could manifest in some folks. Feeling more pain? Headache? Blood pressure a bit elevated? Are we due to have trouble with technology? All of this has been predicted. I don’t know. Could be caused by the geomagnetic storm effects reaching this earth.  Never fear, things should be getting back to normal – whatever normal is these days – very soon.
