What? High in the upper 20s? Things are getting serious here. Looking ahead, it would seem that our Sunday, as of now, is expecting a high of about 39 with a wintry mix possible. This will NOT be a pleasant Sunday. And to think, this is just the beginning. Not anticipating this with any degree of happiness. As usual, put up with it and wait for Spring. Ah….but next week we’ll get a reprieve with some temps well into the 50s. Now that is better news, something to look forward to as we suffer through whatever Sunday brings.

We care coming up on a beautiful week of temperatures in the 50s. Can you imagine starting the month of November with a week of warm, pretty days? Not Michigan’s usual November. And we’ll appreciate it immensely. No telling what the rest of the month will bring, but the first week could be a winner.

Not a pretty morning. Feels like rain, looks like rain. Hopefully we won’t get any snow mixed in with that. At least there is no wind so speak of out there. It does appear, if the forecast can be trusted, as if we may see some more 50 degree days next week. That would be lovely to start a new month out on a slightly warm note. Especially November which can be a really ugly month in Michigan. And has from time to time. Never know until we get into it.

Lots of clouds today, but an occasional  clearing enough to allow the sun to illuminate the brilliant color clinging to tree branches. We need to appreciate every little chance to appreciate the brightness. And we do. This is the second time the dread S word has crept into the forecast. So far we’ve seen a bit of hail…that’s plenty. Soon enough we’ll be seeing more of that unappreciated white stuff to last for…well, months.

Quite chilly this morning but very pretty. The sky is amazingly blue, an excellent background for the Autumn leaves doing their best to hang in there and be their best. Looking at showers about Monday and mostly days in the 40s and nights in the 30s. Nothing drastic coming up for now.

A dreary morning with on and off again rain. Leaves are falling big time now. More color on the ground than in some of the trees. Maybe some sunshine tomorrow, but not today and not on Sunday. I guess we need to enjoy the heck out of tomorrow.

Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020-SW Michigan-Falling Rain And Leaves

Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020-SW Michigan-Falling Rain And Leaves

Currently 44 with an average wind from the SE of 3 mph. Feels like 41 degrees. Dew Point 44, Barometer 30.13, Humidity 100%, Visibility 7 mi., Sunrise 8:05 am, Sunset 6:47 pm.

100% chance of overnight rain and a chance of t-storms. Low in the mid 50s. S winds 10 -20 mph.

A typical Fall day. Rain and leaves are falling together making a wet colorful calico surface on the ground. Soon all the colorful ones will be down, only the drab or the stubborn green ones that refuse to change or die will be left. And that will be a dull green, not their lustrous summer shade. Heading toward the colorlessness of winter. Only white, black and gray. We have to enjoy the brightness of these days.
