Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 South West Michigan – Glorious Weather Continues

Currently 73 degrees with a ENE wind of 6 mph ignoring that number so it remains feeling like 73. Dew Point 50, Humidity 44%, Barometer 29.99 & falling, Visibility 10 mi, Sunrise 7:19 am, Sunset 7:57 pm. Aiming for a day of sunshine and a high of 81. ENE winds 5 – 10 mph.

Clear to partly cloudy, low 52. Light and variable winds.

Nothing but comfortable, pleasant weather in store for us for about the next week, as far as I can see. We are definitely in a great weather pattern. This, being Michigan, means that sooner or later will change and Autumn reality will set in. The rains and chilly days will descent on us. Later appears to be the case for now, and nobody here is complaining about that.

Monday, Sept 11 South West Michigan – Sunshine…But Still…

Currently 50 degrees with a weak E wind of 3 mph making no difference, so it feels like the 50 it is. Dew Point 49, Humidity 97%, Barometer 30.32, Visibility 10 mi, Sunrise 7:18 am, Sunset 7:59 pm. Heading for a sunny high of 76 degrees with light and variable winds.

Partly cloudy overnight skies with a low of 51. Light and variable winds continue.

A pleasant day here, starting out cool, but it should warm up to a decent, comfortable place by afternoon. Our cool nights will help bring out more color before too long. In the meantime, there are the beautiful fall flowers with color to spare to enjoy.

On this sad anniversary of a tragic day in American history, the sights and emotions from those hours of terrorist attack will come to the fore not only me, but for millions of us who were witness to what happened that sunny morning in New York. No matter how bright and cheery this day is here, a pale hangs over it, a dimming of the light this day offers. That will always be the case on this day. It might as well be pouring down rain to go along with the emotions the very mention of this date evokes.

Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 South West Michigan – Sunshine Galore

Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 South West Michigan – Sunshine Galore

Currently 47 degrees with an E wind of 2 mph making no difference so it feels like 47. Dew Point 46, Humidity 96%, Barometer 30.98 & rising, Visibility 10 mi, Sunrise 7:16 am, Sunset 8:00 pm.
Nothing but a clear sky and sunshine for us this fine day. So far, it’s a pale, washed out blue sky, but none-the-less cloudless. We seem to be in a patch of pleasant high pressure weather, much in contrast to what’s happening to the far south of us. Concerns continue for Florida and all surrounding states. Hurricane Irma is a huge storm.

Hard to imagine but I have the  heat on in my apartment already. Two days ago, as a matter of fact. Hey….when it drops down into the 50s in here, and I’m shivering, time to address the issue. Granted I have it set only on 70,  but it’s on. And this is way too early. I’m hoping this isn’t a portent of things to come for these coming seasons.

We had a weird Spring, a strange Summer, and who knows what we have in store for Autumn…and I hate to even think of winter, but alas…it has a nasty habit of following closely behind Autumn.

Keeping a close eye on Hurricane Irma as it takes aim at what looks to be dead on for Florida. For the sake and safety of all those in residence down there, hoping it isn’t going to be as powerful as it seems to be.
