Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 South West Michigan – Still Holding On To Some Color
Currently 38 with an average wind of 1.3 mph from the south making no difference so it feels like 38. Dew Point 38, Humidity 100%, Barometer 30.34, Visibility 6 mi, Sunrise 7:31 am, Sunset 5:20 pm. Cloudy today with areas of fog and a 20% chance of patchy morning drizzle. High around 40. Light winds becoming W 5 – 10 mph.
Cloudy tonight with areas of overnight fog. Low in the lower 30s. Light winds.
Color certainly makes me happy. And that happiness is, by reason of the season approaching us, soon to come to a screeching halt. That’s one of the worst parts of Winter for me – well, among many to be honest – the sheer lack of color. White, black, gray…big Whoop…not much of a color pallet. Not to me, it isn’t.
Okay, so we get the occasional flash of red – faces getting angry having to be exposed to frigid weather while scraping windshields or shoveling sidewalks. Hands bitterly cold, right before they sink into the dead white of severe frostbite – but other than that? Not much to speak of.
Do I sound as if I have a rather harsh view of winter? Hmmmm….so it does. And so I do.
