Tuesday, July 11, 2023-SW Michigan-Sunshine This Morning, Maybe Rain Later On

Currently 73 with an average wind from the SSW of 6 mph. Feels like 73 degrees. Dew Point 64, Barometer 29.76, Humidity 66%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:13 am, Sunset 9:22 pm.

Mostly sunny with a 40% chance of showers with a slight chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon. High in the lower 80s. W winds 10-15 mph with gusts to around 25.

This could be the last nice morning for a while. Look for heavy rain tomorrow with a chance of rain pretty much every day there after. So far, Sunday is looking good but other than that, I’d keep the umbrella handy and figure on inside activity.

Monday, July 10, 2023-SW Michigan-Warm Today And Tomorrow

Monday, July 10, 2023-SW Michigan-Warm Today And Tomorrow

Currently 79 with an average wind from the S of 3 mph. Feels like 81 degrees. Dew Point 61, Barometer 29.82, Humidity 54%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:12 am, Sunset 9:22 pm.

Clear in the evening then partly cloudy with a 20% chance of overnight showers. Low in the mid 60s. SW winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Should be warm today and tomorrow but there is a sharp cooldown possible on Wednesday. Look for rain most days of this week. Doesn’t look like anything major, just some pesky rain off and on. After tomorrow the rest of the week doesn’t look as warm, so it should be more comfortable. As of now, next weekend is looking fine and dandy but as we know, that’s a long way off and things could change by then. At least, that’s the picture from here.

Sunday, July 9, 2023-SW Michigan-Foggy Morning Sunday

Sunday, July 9, 2023-SW Michigan-Foggy Morning Sunday

Currently 59 with an average wind from the NNW of 1 mph. Feels like 59 degrees. Dew Point 61, Barometer 29.8, Humidity 100%, Visibility 1.3 mi., Sunrise 6:11 am, Sunset 9:23 pm.

Mostly sunny today with a high around 80. Light winds becoming W 5-10 mph in the afternoon.

Mostly clear overnight with a low in the mid 50s. W winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light.

Once this fog clears out, it should be a lovely day. Plentiful sunshine, light breeze, comfortable temperature. What could be better for a July Sunday? Not much. Look for some rain about mid-week. Could be hot tomorrow but the rest of the week will be more comfortable.  Seems as if it’s a dandy summer week approaching. Hope you get a chance to enjoy it.

Saturday, July 8, 2023-SW Michigan-Cool And Rainy Today

Saturday, July 8, 2023-SW Michigan-Cool And Rainy Today

Currently 64 with an average wind from the WNW of 5 mph. Feels like 64 degrees. Dew Point 64, Barometer 29.75, Humidity 92%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:10 am, Sunset 9:23 pm.

60% chance of showers with a slight chance of a thunderstorm. High in the lower 70s. N winds 5-10 mph.

Partly cloudy with a low in the mid 50s. N winds around 10 mph.

Look for rain to continue today but tomorrow should be lovely and dry. Monday will be our hottest day but the heat will back off a bit after that. A chance of rain a few days this coming week, but so far, nothing drastic in view. You know what is in view? It’s crazy. First the country is affected from the north by smoke from Canadian fires and now the lower part of the country could be impacted by dust. Yes. Dust. From the Sahara there will be several huge clouds of dust that will be big enough to make it across the ocean and mess up the air in southern America. It is a small world after all, isn’t it?

Friday, July 7, 2023-SW Michigan-A Pretty Mix Of Sun And Clouds

Friday, July 7, 2023-SW Michigan-A Pretty Mix Of Sun And Clouds

Currently 69 with an average wind from the E of 3 mph. Feels like 69 degrees. Dew Point 55, Barometer 29.92, Humidity 61%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:10 am, Sunset 9:23 pm.

Sun and clouds today with a high near 80. N W winds 5-10 mph.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies tonight with a chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm popping up. Low near 60. N winds 5-10 mph becoming light.

A fair chance of rain tomorrow but Sunday is looking very good,  As of now so if you have any weekend plans, Sunday might be your best bet for counting on good weather. Saturday’s rain is only at about a 50 %  chance, so that day might be okay, too.

T0day is refreshingly comfortable missing the dreadful heat we’ve had in the past. There’s a slight chance of rain showing up off and on during this coming week, but again, the temperatures should stay moderate and in the mild range.

Thursday, July 6, 2023-SW Michigan-Hot With A Chance Of Storms

Thursday, July 6, 2023-SW Michigan-Hot With A Chance Of Storms

Currently 70 with an average wind from the SW of 1 mph. Feels like 70 degrees. Dew Point 70, Barometer 29.81, Humidity 94%, Visibility 9 mi., Sunrise 6:08 am, Sunset 9:24 pm.

70% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low in the upper 60s. SW winds 5-10 mph becoming W overnight.

So – finally people around here failed to send off any fireworks, therefore Mother Nature had to step in and fill the void. Some pretty loud cracks of thunder a couple of times during last night’s rain.  Maybe a bit more precipitation today and tonight before it dries out. Look for at least some more comfortable temperatures  this coming week in the 70s, low 80s. Not a bad forecast coming our way.

Things are green again – or trying hard to get back to the proper color. After so many hot and dry days that we had, our rain seems refreshing. Even when it gets noisy. I know I’m not complaining about it. If it manages to wash away some of the heat on its way through, good enough.

Wednesday, July 5, 2023-SW Michigan-Very Warm Today

Wednesday, July 5, 2023-SW Michigan-Very Warm Today

Currently 82 with an average wind from the S of 2 mph. Feels like 84 degrees. De Point 70, Barometer 29.87, Humidity 61%, Visibility 8 mi., Sunrise 6:08 am, Sunset 9:24 pm.

Showers likely with a 70% chance of thunderstorms. Low in the upper 60s. W winds around 10 mph.

Very warm today with a pretty good chance of thunderstorms overnight. We’ll be cooling down a bit after today, but this will be a hot one.

Hopefully the fireworks have all run their course. Enough already. Last night was crazy with way too much close by earth-shattering noise. Personally, I’ve had enough and I do love fireworks. Just not as much as has been shot off this past week. At any rate, the 4th is over and done and with any luck the noise that goes with it, too.

Keep cool today and watch for possible storms tonight.

Tuesday, July 4, 2023-SW Michigan-Happy 4th Of July

Tuesday, July 4, 2023-SW Michigan-Happy 4th Of July

Currently 70 with an average wind from the S of 2 mph. Feels like 70 degrees. Dew Point 63, Barometer 29.91, Humidity 74%, Visibility 9 mi., Sunrise 6:08 am, Sunset 9:24 pm.

Sunny with a 20% chance of an afternoon rain shower. High in the upper 80s. SW Winds around 10 mph.

Mostly clear with a low in the upper 60s. Light winds.

Couldn’t really ask for a better July 4th day as far as our weather goes. Rain might move in tomorrow and Thursday, but today is looking good. Don’t know if there are any local fireworks left to be fired off, but if they are, they should have a decent chance for a good display yet tonight.  It does look as if rain is possible, not only Wednesday and Thursday, but as of now, perhaps Sunday and Monday coming up. You know that’s a ways down the road and that can change by that time. Pretty sure of the good opportunity for rain tomorrow and the next day though. In the meantime, enjoy our holiday with proper outdoor activity weather.

Monday, July 3, 2023-SW Michigan-Mostly Sunny Today

Monday, July 3, 2023-SW Michigan-Mostly Sunny Today

Currently 77 with an average wind from the E of 1 mph. Feels like 77 degrees. Dew Point 69, Barometer 29.81, Humidity 73%, Visibility 9 mi., Sunrise 6:07 am, Sunset 9:25 pm.

Partly sunny becoming mostly sunny. There is a 20% chance of a shower or thunderstorm. High in the mid 80s. N winds around 10 mph.

Mostly clear tonight with a low in the lower 60s. Light winds.

Should be hot and sunny tomorrow for our July 4th.  The rain appears to be moving back in after that, however, nothing but sunshine tomorrow.  I’ve heard fireworks going off every night there hasn’t been rain falling, so thank goodness for all that rain that feel previously. Very likely saved us from a whole lot of accidental fires. There’s sure to be more tonight. Maybe even tomorrow. And for those who aren’t fans of the noise, should be blessedly quiet after that. Maybe. Except for those folks whol have left overs and won’t be able to resist firing them off. Soon, though, they’ll run out. Just be patient.

Sunday, July 2, 2023-SW Michigan-Rain Will Clear Out After Tonight

Sunday, July 2, 2023-SW Michigan-Rain Will Clear Out After Tonight

Currently 73 with an average wind from the ESE of 2 mph. Feels like 73 degrees. Dew Point 70, Barometer 29.51, Humidity 96%, Visibility 8 mi., Sunrise 6:07 am, Sunset 9:25 pm.

70% chance of shower and a chance of a thunderstorm. High in the upper 70s. Light winds becoming S 10 mph in the evening.

Mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Low in the lower 60s. N winds around 10 mph.

A rainy Sunday and rain due in tonight yet, but tomorrow and Tuesday will clear up and be wonderful. In fact, we’ll be heading back into some serious heat before you know it. I’m happy to see all this rain before the majority of the fireworks are let loose. Every year I worry about the wingnuts out there shooting off fireworks when things are tinder dry. Fires are a serious concern and yet too many people fail to think that far in advance. Not good. Anyway, this time around everything in our area, at least, are thoroughly saturated which should protect against accidental fires being set off.
