Saturday, June 27, 2020-SW Michigan – After Overnight Rain, Muggy Day Left Behind

Currently 69 with an average wind from the SSW of 4 mph. Feels like 69 degrees. Dew Point 69, Barometer 29.78 & falling, Humidity 100%, Visibility 1.5 mi., Sunrise 6:05 am, Sunset 9:26 pm.

Mostly cloudy until afternoon becoming mostly sunny. Areas of morning fog. High in the mid 80s. W winds 5 – 15 mph.

Partly cloudy with a low in the lower 60s. W winds 5 -10 mph in the evening becoming light.

Nothing severe came through last night. A nice rain, some thunder and lightening but no wind to speak of. We really did need the rain and it was a good one to sit by the window and watch. All sorts of entertainment. The sound of rain on the leaves, rumbles of thunder rolling across the sky, flashes of lightening and among the darkness between the tree leaves lightening bugs performed as mini lightening, reflecting the real thing. It was a great evening. And looking ahead, no rain in sight for at least the next week. Just high 80s and low 90s. Have to store the memory of last night’s lovely rain and refer to it when things get dry – as they will very quickly in that heat.
