It’s a fine morning out there. In fact, I intend to get outside soon and rake up some leaves before it does anything drastic like rain again. It’s a tad windy, which might make it all a bit tricky, but I don’t really care. I need to get outside and do something. Being cooped up inside, even for a homebody like me, does wear a little thin after awhile. I’m getting there.

I see a few chilly nights coming up yet but the daytime temperatures looks to be in the 50-60 range this coming week. Sounds like something we can use, with some sunshine, being able to step outside our homes and feel a bit of freedom, fresh air.

That dismal S word simply refuses to fade away. Snow showers? Come on! This just has to cease. We aren’t in any mood anymore for wintry words in our weather forecast. Time for sunshine, soft breezes, green things growing.

Peering ahead this week seems to be bringing up daytime temperatures in the 50s, maybe even a 60 or two tossed in. Beats the heck out of the cold and snow we’ve had the past couple of days.

Woke to about 1/4″ of snow, low temperatures. Winter seems to be back and nobody is all that pleased about it. It will be nice when Mother Nature stops being a total pain and let’s us get on with Spring. Any time now would be nice.

Our Michigan governor being a bully is enough to have to cope with, but now Mother Nature has decided to kick in and help make life miserable. Something so not fair about this. It’s a chilly day and waking to a light layer of snow in the middle of April  not fun. Was planning on donning my hazmat suit….well, not really but it feels just as silly…and try to get out shopping in the early morning hours today but decided the heck with it. I’ll try again Thursday. Going out to feed the birds and squirrels was plenty enough in this un-springlike weather.

This blustery weather is blowing in cool temperatures that aren’t welcome this time of year. Some lower 30s daytime temps with below freezing night time numbers. Today is a matter of just hoping nothing blows away as it’s determined to be windy, very windy.

In spite of the gloomy weather and the not so pleasant forecast, I hope everyone can, as much as possible being a virtual prisoner in your home, have a Happy Easter. This is a strange one. And not one I ever hope to have to go through again. I want my family around me on holidays.

Yesterday we had brief – and unwelcome – snow flurries. Didn’t amount to anything beyond being an enormous irritant. Woke to see a tiny layer of leftover snow on the car windshield. Peering ahead, we are due some days with temperatures dropping into the 30s. Again, unwelcome but nothing we can do about any of it. Grin and bear it?  The sooner Mother Nature stops playing games and gets on with letting Spring take over.
