Cloudy tonight with the chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm rolling through. Low 67. Light and variable winds.
The temperature isn’t all that high this morning, but with the dew point and humidity so elevated, it feels warmer than some of the other hot days we’ve recently gone through. Fingers crossed that some of the precipitation supposedly drifting around up there makes its way to my area. We keep hearing about a stray shower but they insist on straying far beyond our reach. We know that eventually the chilly fall rains will begin, but those are not welcome rains for the most part. Those are the ones that start to remind you how cold you’re bound to be in no time at all, and they do an powerful job of knocking down any leaves trying to brighten out world with color. No…what we need, and have needed for some time, are some good, rejuvenating summer rains. Yeah, like I said, fingers crossed.
