Sunday, June 17, 2018 South West Michigan – High Heat, Bad Air Day

Currently 82 with an average WSW wind of 8 mph not helping. It feels like 88 already. Dew Point 72, Humidity 72%, Barometer 29.98, Visibility 10 mi, Sunrise 6:01 am, Sunset 9;24 pm. High Heat Alert in effect. Bad Air Alert in effect. Partly cloudy today with a slim chance of a stray thunderstorm popping up. High 93, heat index over 100. WSW winds 10 -20 mph.

Partly cloudy tonight with the chance of a stray thunderstorm popping up. Low 75. SW winds 10 – 15 mph.

It is purely miserable out there already this morning. The air is close and heavy, makes breathing difficult. I know I plan to stay inside for the duration. Anyone with real breathing/lung problems is destined to suffer today unless they have a working A/C and stay inside where it’s cool. I’m grateful we don’t get too many days like this. I like hot weather but this is unbearable. Way beyond my comfort zone.

Happy Father’s Day to all fathers, step-fathers, grandfathers and fathers who have gone on ahead and are watching over all from on high.
