Currently 31 with a S wind of 5.7 mph dropping it a degree so it feels like 30. Dew Point 28, Barometer 29.93, Visibility 10 mi, Sunrise 7:40am, Sunset 5:14 pm. Mostly sunny with a high in the upper 40s. SW winds 10 -20 mph with gusts to 30.
Partly cloudy tonight with a low in the upper 30s. SW winds 15 – 20.
Hard to imagine but there was a time when families simply climbed into their cars and took off for holidays, virtually unaware of what the weather was they were heading in to. With today’s technology, they are already predicting, with what is probably pretty good accuracy, what the travel weather will be for the coming holiday. Amazing what a difference.
Lucky, in our area it seems as if the weather is going to be fairly decent. No major rain or snow on the way for us…so far. Many years in the past were much worse, so this is going to be all good. Hopefully the rest of the nation will fare as well.
