Thursday, July 6 Southwest Michigan – Starting Out Sunny Heading Into Clouds

Currently 71 degrees with a S wind of 4 mph hardly stirring the air, so it feels like the 71 that it is. Dew Point 62, Humidity 75%, Barometer 29.98 & falling, Visibility 10 mi.  A sunny morning will give way to a cloudy afternoon with the chance of a stray thunderstorm popping up. High 88. WSW wind 10 – 15 mph.

60% chance of thunderstorms tonight. A few may be severe. Low 66. WSW winds 10 – 15 mph.

It’s a fine morning,  bit humid, but with rain coming on in, that’s not a surprise. Sounds as if there could be some rough storms in this system heading toward us, but then, we’ve heard that before and been missed entirely. So, just a little rain would be nice.

A quite night wasn’t to be had last evening. Somebody obviously still had a hearty supply of the big fireworks ’cause we were once again treated to more celebration. Then tonight if we have thunder rolling around….but that I doubt anyone would be bothered about. I like that sound. I used to like the sound of fireworks :>)

Worried about all the wildlife that I haven’t seen much of since the onslaught of fireworks the other night. Can’t even imagine how confusing and scary it all must be to them. Hour after hour of gut-busting noise and blinding flashes of light. Haven’t seen one single Black Squirrel yet. I sure do hope they’re still around. At any rate, if we get rain tonight, that likely will put an end to the July 4th celebration noise. I hope.
