Saturday, June 10 Southwest Michigan – Here Comes The Heat

Saturday, June 10 Southwest Michigan – Here Comes The Heat

There is an Air Quality Alert in effect for today.

Currently 74 degrees with a SW wind of 13 mph only stirring things up occasionally, but letting the temperature basically alone to feel like 73. Dew Point 59, Humidity 63%, Barometer 29.82, Visibility 10 mi.  Heading into a mix of sun and clouds, high 88. Our SW wind will be increasing to 20 – 30 mph with higher gusts possible.

Tonight will be generally clear, low of 69. SW winds 15 – 25 mph.

The air is feeling a little heavy this morning but man, I am so enjoying this. Windows still open, but I am wondering if that will be the case all day. Maybe. I know tomorrow the A/C will be cranked ’cause I have family coming to dinner and none of them appreciate hot weather like I do, so I’ll be nice about it. What I dislike is the fact that once that A/C is turned on, it will be turned on for awhile because the entire next week looks to be lurking in the 90 degree range. And I know I’ll be like everyone else appreciating the A/C.  I know this. But I sure am going to be happy when the time comes I can get those windows open again. What ever comes along, comes along and we’ll see how it goes. Going to go hot for awhile, that much I know :>)

I so love summer. I am much happier typing about the heat and humidity than I ever am writing about impending blizzards, snow, cold, ice, etc. etc., etc.

Friday, June 9 Southwest Michigan – Some Morning Sprinkles

Friday, June 9 Southwest Michigan – Some Morning Sprinkles

Currently 60 degrees with an E wind of 4 mph not messing around with it, leaving it to feel like 60 degrees. Dew Point 57, Humidity 91%, Barometer 29.78 & rising, Visibility 10 mi. Cloudy morning skies with a chance of a few showers showing up, followed by partial afternoon clearing. High near 80. SW winds 10 – 15 mph.

Mostly clear tonight with a low of 55. WSW winds 10 – 15 mph.

Got about .03″ of rain in the gauge this morning. Not a lot, just enough to make it feel a bit chilly and damp. That will change before long. And look out, here come those 90 degree days heading right for us. Starting tomorrow and stretching almost a whole week before they dip a bit back into the 80s.  Now we all know I’ve been saying that’s what I like, so we’ll see at the end of a week of it, how much I really do :>)

Thursday, June 8 Southwest Michigan – More Glorious Days On The Way

Thursday, June 8 Southwest Michigan – More Glorious Days On The Way

Currently 70 with a WSW wind of 6 mph not making any waves so it feels exactly like 70 wonderful degrees. Dew Point 49, Humidity 53%, Barometer 30.02 & falling, Visibility 10 mi. Heading for a sunny day with a high of 80 and W winds 10 – 15 mph.

Tonight will start out partly cloudy developing into a 40% chance of showers with a possible t-storm or two. Low 58. SW winds 5 – 10 mph.

Can not ask for more than this. Looks as if the entire next week will give us 80 degrees and maybe toss in a few 90s. Oh joy! Except for a few chances of some overnight showers cropping up, doesn’t look like much in the line of rain until about next Wednesday. Perfect weather and I’m enjoying every single second of it.

Wednesday, June 7 Southwest Michigan – Another Near Perfect Day

Wednesday, June 7 Southwest Michigan – Another Near Perfect Day

Currently 59 with a N wind of 6 mph not bothering that number, so it feels exactly like 59. Dew Point 51, Humidity 73%, Barometer 30.14 & rising, Visibility 10 mi. Heading for a high of 78 with oodles of sunshine. NE wind 5 – 10 mph.

Clear, beautiful sky tonight, Low 51 with an ESE wind of 5 – 10 mph.

Feels just slightly cool this morning but going to warm up nicely. Here’s the thing, this is how much I love being warm. I can hear my neighbor’s A/C blasting off an on lately, while my heat clicks on at about 7 in the morning just long enough to warm my little nest up to a cozy 72 degrees. That’s about the lowest my comfort level rests and when I get up, I don’t want to be cold. So has my A/C been on yet? HaHaHa….when and if it gets up to those possible 90s and humid, then and only then will that happen. In the meantime my day will start out with at least 72 degrees to greet me :>)

Tuesday, June 6 Southwest Michigan – Another Glorious Day

Tuesday, June 6 Southwest Michigan – Another Glorious Day

Currently 60 degrees with a N wind of 10 mph making it feel like 58. Dew Point 50, Humidity 68%, Barometer 30.00 & rising, Visibility 10 mi. Reaching for a high of 77 today with a sunny morning turning into a partly cloudy afternoon along with a 20% chance of a stray shower or t-storm popping up. NE winds 10 – 25 mph.

Clear skies and a low of 49 tonight. NE winds 10 – 15 mph.

Just a glut of glorious days here. Seriously. We’re even going to, possibly, get up to 90 degrees by Sunday and Monday. Okay, I have dinner guests coming on Sunday, so I’ll have to cave in and turn on the A/C but left to my own devices – maybe I wouldn’t. Depends on how humid it gets. However, for everyone else’s comfort, with those temperatures, the A/C will be on. But boy…am I ever looking forward to those high temperatures!

Monday, June 5 Southwestern Michigan – Cloudy, Hazy, Warm

Monday, June 5 Southwestern Michigan – Cloudy, Hazy, Warm

Currently 64 with a NE wind of 8 mph making it feel like 63. Dew Point 59, Humidity 93%, Barometer 29.81 & rising, visibility 7 mi. This cloudy, slightly hazy morning should become partly clear later on with only a slight chance of a stray shower showing up. High near 75 with a NE wind of 10 – 15 mph.

Some early clouds this evening  will clear away during the night time hours, low 51. N wind 10 – 15 mph.

Yesterday was grand and glorious. Sunny and well up into the 80s. My kind of weather! Today not so much but it will do. It feels warm enough to have all the upstairs windows left wide open and that’s always good enough for me. I rarely open the windows downstairs unless it’s the kitchen window when I’m working there, and then it’s closed when I’m finished. I feel safer this way and it works. Good enough. Long as I have fresh air coming in the upper part, it filters down and around and I have that nice outdoor scent everywhere. It’s what I miss, dreadfully, during the winter months.

Sunday, June 4 – Some Clouds, Maybe Some Rain

Sunday, June 4 – Some Clouds, Maybe Some Rain

Currently it’s 64 degrees while a SSW wind of 7 mph is leaving that number alone so it feels exactly as it is. Dew Point 63, Humidity 95%, Barometer 29.81 & falling. Going to be a cloudy morning, maybe a little less in the afternoon, but there is a possibility of a shower or stray thunderstorm cropping up off and on. Might get a high of 85.

Tonight there will be a few passing clouds and a low around 58. NNW wind 10 – 15 mph.

Woke a couple of times to hear distant thunder and discovered .20 of rain in the rain gauge this morning. Nice to get a little rain in the night. In a perfect world…..

Yesterday never did reach its potential. Didn’t see so much as a hint of the sun and the temperature, at least in my little backyard, never broke out of the 70s. Wasn’t a bad day, but it could have been better had it tried just a tiny bit.

Perhaps today it will give a little more effort toward being at least a tad shinier.

June 3 – A Sunny, Warm Saturday

June 3 – A Sunny, Warm Saturday

Currently 67 degrees with an E wind of 6 mph leaving it alone to be just that. Dew Point 49, Humidity 57%, Barometer 30.05 & rising. Heading for a high of 84 – 86 today with a mostly cloudy morning becoming a partly cloudy afternoon. SW winds will be 10 – 15 mph.

Tonight will start out with a partly cloudy sky and evolve into clouds with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Gusty winds and hail are possible. Low 63 with SW winds of 5 – 10 on average.

It’s a fine and a dandy day. Going to be warmer and more humid than yesterday, which is okay by me. Only thing is I make bread every Saturday and think I need to get cracking at it so the oven isn’t on later when it’s going to be really noticeable. Lucky my little nest stays pretty comfortable most of the time. Cool inside when it’s hot outside and nicely warm inside when the cold weather attacks. Again, I say, I’m lucky.

June 2 – Sunshine Galore For Today

June 2 – Sunshine Galore For Today

Currently 50 degrees with a SW wind of 2 mph making it feel like exactly what it is. Dew Point 47, Humidity 91%, Barometer 30.09 & rising. Heading for a high of near 80 with abundant sunshine. Tonight there will be a clear sky and a low of 56.

It’s a glorious day. Slightly cool this morning but aiming to warm up nicely. All that sunshine is going to make it feel like a fine summer day. Happy me.

June 1 – Starting The Month With Sunshine And 70s

June 1 – Starting The Month With Sunshine And 70s

Currently 56 degrees with an E wind of 5 mph making it feel like 55. Dew Point 45, Humidity 67%, Barometer 30.07 & rising. Heading for a high of around 73 with sunny skies all day. Tonight the sky will stay clear and we’ll have a low of 50. What a splendid way to start out the month. And almost perfect day. For me it could toss in another 8 – 10 degrees, but I’ll take this and be happy about it. I’m really hoping this new month will be a warmer one than was May. For me, it was too chilly, but hey….I’m the guy who loves heat and humidity. What can I say? Anyway, I am delighted to be heading into one of the ‘summer’ months. Finally. And I’m thrilled to see our new WeatherQuack site take flight. I’m hoping for it to gain flocks of fellow bloggers.
