This oppressive heat is going to stick with us for awhile. Tomorrow may be a few degrees cooler, but it will ramp right back up for Saturday and Sunday. Not exactly weather for doing much of anything outside. Stay inside, hopefully in some A/C. Stay hydrated. Think winter. That part may not helpful, but might be worth a try. In the meantime, we’re right smack in the middle of some hot/humid summer weather with no way out for the time being.

Last night brought plenty of thunder and I found it amazing that there was almost an inch of rain in my rain gauge this morning. Sure did need that rain. Today is going to be beastly so I hope everyone pays attention to keeping hydrated and as cool as possible. Going to be hot for awhile yet with this weekend looking miserable.

The pictures and reports coming from Tennessee continue to be horrible. None of that could be expected or prepared for. They are looking right now at if that ends up being a record rainfall for the state. It’s truly heartbreaking. I can’t even imagine all that pain. Damage. Death. It’s going to be such a long time for them to get beyond this…if, for some of them, ever.

Right now it’s looking like a week of high temperatures and with some small chances for rain/storms showing up. In fact, there is a slight risk of  Severe Storms cropping up today until tomorrow morning. I imagine with the precipitation chances and high temperatures this week, that risk will likely pop up again. Just keep cool, keep an eye on the sky and pay attention.

Most of the weather stations are reporting the probability of some warm temperatures this coming week. A few chances of rain and thunderstorms which may or may not appear but I think we can count on the heat.

Heartbreaking watching the films of the flooding in Tennessee. Too many people died, too much destruction. Things like this are merciless and tragic. So very fortunate here in SW Michigan that we’ve been able to escape so many of these horrendous weather events. Prayers for those not so lucky. I guess I’ll take out non-dramatic weather patterns and be grateful for them all.

Should warm up a bit tomorrow with Tuesday and Wednesday, as of right now, determined to be scorchers with a slight chance of rain. So…be prepared for a couple of pretty uncomfortable days mid week. Thursday, still warm, but not quite as bad as Tuesday/Wednesday. More or less a typical Summer week. Warm, hot, maybe some rain…we have a variety coming, but all of the Summer assortment.

It will be hot and humid today, nudging or hitting 90 probably, with a very small chance of rain late or overnight. There is that very small chance of rain almost every day coming up this week. Nothing definite, but it opportunity is out there.

We are definitely in a warm spell here in SW Michigan. Today will be hot, tomorrow will be even more so. Keep cool, keep hydrated and keep thinking this isn’t going to be lasting forever, so we can get through it to cooler weather.

Several hot and humid days coming our way with the only relief coming – maybe – with some Saturday night rain. And even if the rain comes our way overnight Saturday it will only drop the temperatures to the lower rather than the upper 80s. So we’re in for a warm spell. Regular August summer weather.

Today should be warm but not overly so. The next two or three days however will be ramping it up a bit. Might even be close to 90 on Saturday. We’ll see how it goes as far as how high the temperature rises, but one thing we do know is it will be summery.

Today seems to be a day coming at us without the possibility of any rain. The rest of the week appears to carry at least a small chance for some rain. Maybe the greatest chance coming about Saturday afternoon/evening. The remnants of Tropical Storm Fred seem to have scattered to the east pretty much skipping sending any of it this far north. Okay by all of us. Pleasant summer weather is more our choice. Seems like we should be getting that for the most part this week.
