At the moment, it looks as if the strongest band of ice from Winter Storm Olive is sliding to the south of us, which is the best we can hope for here. We are still close to the bull’s eye for everything this storm is bringing with it. Hopefully we won’t get the thickness of ice we were worried about yesterday. Nothing to ignore here, even so. Still could end up with enough ice that, along with strong winds, could bring down power lines. Roads will become treacherous and there still could be that possibility of power outages. Most school systems are closed which should tell you they are expecting something unpleasant, because some of these school systems rarely close. Tomorow isn’t looking much better to start off with.
Be alert. Stay off the roads and stay home if at all possible.
