Another chance of rain/snow mix tomorrow. Woke this morning to a light layer of snow patches here and there. I reckon we need to expect such things for awhile yet. No worries. It’ll all go away soon enough.

It’s a gloomy morning with hopefully a brighter afternoon. Sounds like a messy few days coming. Rain, might be a smidgen of snow mixed in. Hoping for the sight of the sun for this afternoon. Might have to last awhile.

Monday, March 9, 2020-SW Michigan-Rain Likely Today and Tonight

Monday, March 9, 2020-SW Michigan-Rain Likely Today and Tonight

Currently 53 with an average wind from the SSW of 16 mph. Feels like 49 degrees. Dew Point 31, Barometer 30.09 & rising, Humidity 43%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 8:03 am, Sunset 7:02 pm.

100% chance of overnight rain. Winds from the SW of 10-20 mph. Another quarter inch of rain possible.

Might end up a bit of a damp week. Chance of rain/frozen mix on Wednesday, rain on Thursday. Things can change fast so none of it is a guarantee but it’s all out there as a possibility.  So far no rain today but it’s definitely in the air and in the forecast.

Sunday, March 8, 2020-SW Michigan-Pleasant Today, Rain Tomorrow

Sunday, March 8, 2020-SW Michigan-Pleasant Today, Rain Tomorrow

Currently 41 with an average wind from the SSW of 14 mph. Feels like 33 degrees. Dew Point 21, Barometer 30.27 & falling, Humidity 44%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 8:05 am, Sunset 7:40 pm.

Mix of sun and clouds today. High 58. SW winds 10 -20 mph.

Mostly clear with only a few passing overnight clouds. Low 46. SSW winds 10 -20 mph.

Today will be a comfortable day but tomorrow sounds like a steady all day rain. We can use that to help get rid of more dirty snow piles. Kind of Mother Nature to give us a dry weekend.

Personally, I refused to change my clocks last night. I chose to lose an hour today, not last night. I have enough trouble getting sufficient sleep as it is without this stupid time change game taking an hour away from me.

And on a different note – I really enjoyed Weekend Recharge on The Weather Channel this week. And that’s all I’ll say about that.

Saturday, March 7, 2020-SW Michigan-Rain Coming Next Week

Saturday, March 7, 2020-SW Michigan-Rain Coming Next Week

Currently 30 with an average wind from the SSW of 11 mph. Feels like 21 degrees. Dew Point 21, Barometer 30.52 & falling, Humidity 66%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:06 am, Sunset 6:39 pm.

Sunny today with a high of 47. SSW winds 10 -20 mph.

A few overnight clouds. Low 34. SSW winds 10 -15 mph.

No rain today or tonight. Monday for sure but a pleasant weekend to enjoy before that happens.

Still reeling over the destruction and deaths in Tennessee. Heartbreaking, absolutely heartbreaking. The survivors have such a long haul ahead of them.

Friday, march 6, 2020-SW Michigan-Temperatures Holding Fairly Steady

Friday, march 6, 2020-SW Michigan-Temperatures Holding Fairly Steady

Currently 33 with an average wind from the N of 17 mph. Feels like 23. Dew Point 27, Barometer 30.17 & rising, Humidity 77%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:08 am, Sunset 6:38 pm.

Decreasing cloudiness and wind today. A few flurries or snow showers possible. Temperatures holding steady in the mid 30s. N winds 20 – 30 mph.

Mostly clear overnight skies. Low near 20. NNE winds 5 – 10 mph.

Except for today, where it’s expected to only be in the 30s, the rest of the coming week shows daily temperatures in the 40s and 50s. So, even though the possibility of snow flurries or showers is scattered in and around all over the place, nothing serious is expected in that area. And snow flurries showing up with temperatures that high won’t amount to anything. So far, so good. This month of March is progressing nicely.

Thursday, March 5, 2020-SW Michigan-Possible Afternoon Rain

Thursday, March 5, 2020-SW Michigan-Possible Afternoon Rain

Currently 35 with an average wind from the S of 9 mph. Feels like 29. Dew Point 21, Barometer 30.04 & falling, Humidity 55%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:10 am, Sunset 6:37 pm.

Cloudy with a 70% chance of afternoon rain developing. High 46. SSW winds 10 -20 mph.

40% chance of snow showers. Low 31. W winds 10 -15 mph.

Not a bad morning but it’s clouding up and there’s a pretty good chance of rain this afternoon. At least, it looks as if the chance for some frozen mix seems to have been eliminated. Maybe a bit of overnight snow. But that won’t last. Should be well over freezing tomorrow. So far March seems to be flowing along quite nicely.

Wednesday, March 4, 2020-SW Michigan-A Pleasant Day In Store

Wednesday, March 4, 2020-SW Michigan-A Pleasant Day In Store

Currently 37 with an average wind from the W of 13 mph. Feels like 29 degrees. Dew Point 28, Barometer 29.86 & rising, Humidity 69%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:11 am, Sunset 6:35 pm.

A mix of sun and clouds. High around 40. WNW winds 10 -20 mph.

Mostly clear overnight skies. Low around 25. SSW winds 5 – 10 mph.

So far today, it’s a winner. More blue skies than clouds and it’s warming up just fine. Won’t get overly warm, should be comfortable. More snow clumps melting away, bit by bit. Tomorrow holds out the possibility of a frozen mix mess, but I’m hoping it will be all rain. We could use a nice rain.

Tuesday, March 3, 2020-SW Michigan-Could Get Some Rain Today

Tuesday, March 3, 2020-SW Michigan-Could Get Some Rain Today

Currently 33 with an average wind from the SSW of 6 mph. Feels like 28. Dew Point 29, Barometer 29.58 & falling, Humidity 86%, Visibility 8 mi., Sunrise 7:13 am, Sunset 6:35 pm.

Possible light morning snow will give way to an 80% chance of afternoon rain. High 42. WSW winds 10 -20 mph.

Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy. Low 31. W winds 10 -20 mph.

A few days of rain coming and going. But that’s okay, it’s spring and rain is welcome. Will take a lot of it to get rid of the dirty piles of snow shoveled up along the edges of parking lots and driveways. It’ll be gone soon. Looking forward to that. In the meantime, enjoying the temperatures hovering mostly in the 40s. Might take a dip once in awhile from here on out, but for the most part it’s going to stay comfortable.

Sorry to hear of all the widespread tornado damage and the deaths in Nashville, Tenn. overnight. Sending prayers up for all who are there.

Monday, March 2, 2020-SW Michigan-Some Clouds, But Comfortable Temperatures

Monday, March 2, 2020-SW Michigan-Some Clouds, But Comfortable Temperatures

Temperature 34 with an average wind from the W of 8 mph. Feels like 27. Dew Point 31, Barometer 29.74 & rising, Humidity 88%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:15 am, Sunset 6:33 pm.

Partly cloudy with a high around 45. W winds 10 -15 mph.

Some overnight clouds. Low 26. SSW winds 5 – 10 mph.

Looking ahead, I see no daytime temperatures dropping lower than in the 40s. March is off to a good start. Not that I’m convinced Spring will be able to settle in without a battle from Winter. It usually doesn’t work that way. Winter puts up a hard fight, not willing to depart on friendly terms. Will this year be different? Maybe. Could we still get a hard snow storm or an ice storm? Maybe. But for now things are comfortable and everyone’s beginning to think about yard work and all that wonderful stuff that gets us outdoors. Just thinking, mind you, but the thoughts are starting to formulate. :>)
