No rain today but perhaps tomorrow. For sure on Wednesday. Next weekend is still looking dry. Cooler by far than this past one, but still no rain. Things can change by then but that’s the picture we’re seeing for now. This will be a cool week. Don’t be looking for any 70 degrees. But eventually we’ll have more than one or two at a time. The sooner the better but then again we have no say so in the matter. We simply take what we get. After this troublesome so-called spring, a dry day is in the plus column even if cool.

A splendid day today and look for another good one tomorrow. Rain moves in for Tuesday and Wednesday which will drop our temperatures again. But in the meantime? A couple of lovely days to enjoy. Next weekend doesn’t sound as wonderful as this one but a lot can happen between now and then, so who knows?

A fine couple of days for us. Look for some rain from Tuesday on for several days and alas…next weekend, as of now, is looking to be about 30 degrees cooler. Not fun to look forward to, but rather typical of our up and down spring pattern. In the meantime, do your best to enjoy this weekend – and perhaps plan some indoor stuff for the next one coming at us.

If you have anything un-tethered laying around in your yard, this might be a good time to go take care of it. Sounds like things are going to ramp up with winds up to 50 mph possible. This could jolly well bring down tree limbs and cause power outages, so just be alert and careful. High  profile vehicles might not be the best thing to be out traveling in today either.

Once this wind event blows past we should have 2 or 3 lovely days ahead. 70 degree days and sunshine. No way can you improve on that. Rain and a lower temperature moves in then on Tuesday, but we get to relish several mighty fine days before then.

Definitely rain today and tomorrow, but just as certain a couple of sunny days this weekend. A fair trade-off. Plus some 70 degrees mixed in there until after Tuesday’s rain. Should be fine for helping blooming things to bloom. Nothing like spring rain and sunshine to grow higher spirits as well as flowering things.

A nice day on tap for us today but look for rain Thursday and Friday. That’s okay because it’s leaving the way for a couple of great days over the weekend. We should have sunshine both days. I think we can live with this pattern. Well, we have to, but we can also like it, which I think we do.

The W Michigan view of yesterday’s eclipse was delightful. We didn’t get a total eclipse but it was as close as it could be. The area darkened, the temperature dropped, shadows became weird – in fact everything felt a little weird. It was an experience not to be forgotten.

Look for some rain on Thursday and Friday but the weekend is appearing to be fantastic. Plentiful sunshine. Our temperatures may fluctuate a bit up and down, but the 50s seem to be as low as they’re going on for a while. We can deal with that.

Frankly, living in Michigan, this is about as good a forecast for an eclipse as can be hoped for. We may, if the sky continues as is for the duration, get a splendid view of the total eclipse. Throughout Michigan there is anywhere from an 89 – 96% view possible. With the total eclipse due about 3:11 this afternoon. That is extraordinary. Just remember, either be wearing the approved special glasses or simply do not look at it. Your eyesight is the most important part of this event.

Look for some rain Thursday and Friday but the weekend is looking grand. We seem to have turned the corner and are heading in to real spring now. At last.

We will likely get some rain later today and tonight but it, for now, does look as if we could luck out and have some clearing skies for the eclipse. I can’t imagine not being a bit excited about this. Our area won’t get another chance to see a sight like this for another 300 years. I know I’ll have my special glasses in place and will be ready – just in case Mother Nature decides to smile on us.

Good temperature range coming for the next week of 50s, even 60s. At the end of it all we could even see 70 degrees. This seems a bit like heaven.

Chance of rain tomorrow afternoon and overnight, but for now it looks as if we may luck out and get a chance to see the Eclipse.  Nothing certain – you know how it is with Michigan and clouds and whatnot. But I’d have those glasses ready just in case. I know I will – with fingers crossed for some properly cleared skies at the proper time.
