Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023-SW Michigan-Clouds Today But Some Sun Coming This Week

Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023-SW Michigan-Clouds Today But Some Sun Coming This Week

Currently 37 with a 5 mph coming from the NW. Feels like 30. Dew Point 34, Barometer 29.75, Humidity 87%, Visibility 9 mi., Sunrise 8:02 am, Sunset 5:07 pm.

70% chance of rain/snow showers today with a high in the upper 30s. NW winds 10-15 mph.

Partly cloudy with a 40% chance of overnight snow showers. Low in the upper 20s. NW winds 5-10 mph.

Not a pleasant day today – possible rain/snow – but the coming week is looking good. Chilly, but some sunshine scattered here and there, which is more than welcome. Personally, I’m already tired of the gray colorless skies of a Michigan winter. And I know, we’ve got lots of them coming still, but it doesn’t take me long to get weary of it. Anyway, this coming week should bring some color and cheer along with it. So far, no rain. No snow. Sounding good to me.

Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023-SW Michigan-Wet Weekend But Dry Week Coming Up

Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023-SW Michigan-Wet Weekend But Dry Week Coming Up

Currently 52 with a 6 mph wind coming from the SSW. Feels like 52 degrees. Dew Point 52, Barometer 29.47, Humidity 93%, Visibility 8 mi., Sunrise 8:01 am, Sunset 5:07 pm.

90% chance of rain showers. High in the mid 50s. S winds 15-25 mph with gusts to around 50 becoming SW 10-15 with gusts to 35.

Mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of rain and snow. Low in the mid 30s. SW winds 10-15 mph with gusts to around 30.

Expect some rain today, perhaps some rain/snow tomorrow. The remaining week looks to be coming at us dry – as of now with temperatures in the 30s and 40s – not bad for around the middle of December in Michigan.

Friday, Dec. 8, 2023-SW Michigan-Enjoy Today’s Sunshine

Friday, Dec. 8, 2023-SW Michigan-Enjoy Today’s Sunshine

Currently 45 with a 5 mph wind from the SW. Feels like 37 degrees. Dew Point 37, Barometer 29.58, Humidity 71%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 8:00 am, Sunset 5:07 pm

Partly sunny today with a high in the lower 50s. SW winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Partly cloudy with a 70% chance of overnight rain showers. Low in the mid 40s. S winds 5-15 mph.

Look for another wet weekend. This one should be all rain until Sunday night, where there is a chance for snow showers. Our temperature is due to take big dip so that next week will be much cooler than where we are right now. Appears to be a dry week coming up but with numbers mainly in the 30s for daytime temperatures.

Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023-SW Michigan-Sunshine And Climbing Temperatures

Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023-SW Michigan-Sunshine And Climbing Temperatures

Currently 37 with a 3 mph wind from the SSW. Feels like 30 degrees. Dew Point 35, Barometer 29.72, Humidity 87%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 8:00 am, Sunset 5:07 pm.

Mostly sunny today with a high in the mid 40s. SW winds 5-15 mph.

Partly cloudy with a low in the mid 30s. S winds 5-15 mph.

Look for the temperatures to keep climbing through Saturday but then a sharp drop by Sunday back into the 30s. Sunday could bring the chance of some snow, too. Rain for Saturday.  Anyway, this little ‘heat wave’ is welcome but won’t last all that long.  Enjoy it while it’s here.

Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023-SW Michigan-Only Slight Chance Of Snow Showers Today

Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023-SW Michigan-Only Slight Chance Of Snow Showers Today

Currently 36 with a wind of 3 mph from the NW. Feels like 30 degrees. Dew Point 32, Barometer 30.07, Humidity 82%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:59 am, Sunset 5:07 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of snow showers. High in the upper 30s. NW winds 5-10 mph becoming SW 10-15 mph.

Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of rain/snow in the evening becoming partly cloudy overnight. Low in the lower 30s. SW winds 10-20 mph with gusts to 30.

Not a bad day today and the next few offers us the chance for the possibility of some sunshine through the clouds. All leading up to another soggy weekend. Saturday should have a temperature high enough to bring us rain, but Sunday will be back in the frozen mix range. Could be worse, just be careful driving on Sunday, in case that frozen mix ends up on our roads.

Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023-SW Michigan-Some Dry Days Coming Up After Today

Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023-SW Michigan-Some Dry Days Coming Up After Today

Currently 34 with a 2 mph wind from the SE. Feels like 32 degrees. Dew Point 34, Barometer 29.85, Humidity 100%, Visibility 4 mi., Sunrise 7:58 am, Sunset 5:07 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a 60% chance of snow showers. High in the upper 30s. Light winds becoming N 5-10 in the afternoon.

Mostly cloudy with a low in the mid 20s. NW winds around 5 mph.

Got a fair chance of some snow showers today, but the next 3 days after should be precipitation free. Not so much the weekend. Looking like rain on Saturday and maybe more snow than rain on Sunday. The Jet Stream is going to be taking a deep dive down into the country leaving us with the possibility of chilly temperatures over the weekend. This might lead to some snow on Sunday. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Monday, Dec. 4, 2023-SW Michigan-Off And On Messy Weather All Week

Monday, Dec. 4, 2023-SW Michigan-Off And On Messy Weather All Week

Currently 34 with a 1 mph wind from the NNE. Feels like 28 degrees. Dew Point 33, Barometer 29.77, Humidity 92%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:57 am, Sunset 5:07 pm.

Mostly cloudy. High in the upper 30s. SW winds 5-10 mph.

Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of snow showers overnight. Low in the upper 20s. Light winds.

Today seems precipitation free but look for some of the messy mix over the next few days – then off and on throughout the week.  Nothing drastic coming our way for the present but this wintry mix stuff can get old real quick. Nothing to do but cope with it and be careful of road conditions. You never know this time of year – black ice, frozen rain, the list seems to go on forever but all of it can be dangerous and need care in driving.

Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023-SW Michigan-Messy, Chilly Weather

Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023-SW Michigan-Messy, Chilly Weather

Currently 36 degrees with a 3 mph wind from the ESE. Feels like 30 degrees. Dew Point 35, Barometer 29.53, Humidity 100%, Visibility 3 mi., Sunrise 7:56 am, Sunset 5:08 pm.

100% chance of rain possibly mixed with snow showers. High in the upper 30s. E winds 5-10 mph becoming NW.

Mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of rain showers becoming light snow overnight. Low 30. NW winds 5-10 mph.

Just plain miserable out there with that chilly rain/snow mess. I’m fairly sure that most would prefer plain old snow over this stuff. Not that we have a choice. We get what we get. And this sounds like what we’re going to be getting off and on most of this coming week. Alas…it appears to be that time of year in Michigan.

Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023-SW Michigan-Freezing Rain Possible Tonight, Tomorrow

Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023-SW Michigan-Freezing Rain Possible Tonight, Tomorrow

Currently 34 with a 4 mph wind from the ESE. Dew Point 34, Barometer 29.87, Humidity 100%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:54 am, Sunset 5:08 pm

Mostly cloudy with a high in the upper 30s. NE winds 5-10 mph with gusts to 20.

60% chance of rain showers possibly mixed with freezing rain and snow. Low in the mid 30s. E winds 5-10 mph.

Doesn’t look like any precipitation today but tonight and tomorrow look much more likely. Again, things change and we’re never, or rarely, certain of what’s supposed to be on the way. But that messy wintry weather is out there, just a question of whether it will include us in its path. Be careful and watchful just in case.

Friday, Dec. 1, 2023-SW Michigan-No Bright Sky Today

Friday, Dec. 1, 2023-SW Michigan-No Bright Sky Today

Currently 36 with a 6 mph wind from the E. Feels like 28. Dew Point 34, Barometer 29.75, Humidity 100%, Visibility 4 mi., Sunrise 7:53 am, Sunset 5:08 pm

100% chance of rain showers possibly mixed with freezing rain until midday then snow later on. Snow accumulation 1″ or less. High in the upper 30s. E winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

80% chance of rain showers mixed with snow showers. Snow accumulation 1″ or less. Low in the lower 30s. NE winds 5-15 mph with gusts to around 25.

What you see is pretty much what we’ll get this entire coming week. As of now. Either during the day or at night. Not exactly a fun week to be out and about doing anything outdoorsy. Nothing drastic, anyway, which is a good thing. Merely dreary. I guess if I have my druthers, I’d pick dreary over drastic any day.
