Definitely raining out there and looks to be a pretty steady daylong affair. The Jet Stream has swung down leaving us in the cooler range. We could be facing snow, but so far, only rain. As of now, it’s looking like a fairly easy month of November. No bets on December yet, but November is looking okay.

This will be our last 50-degree day this week. This strong wind will be blowing that away and leaving us 40s. Maybe more rain on Wednesday. It’s early days, but so far next weekend is looking dry, but a bit cool.

Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023-SW Michigan-Love The Extra Light In The Morning

Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023-SW Michigan-Love The Extra Light In The Morning

Mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of overnight rain. Low in the mid 40s. S winds 5-15 mph with gusts to 20 increasing to 35.

Personally, I’m much happier getting up when it’s light in the morning and don’t care at all about how dark it gets early in the evening. For all of me, they could just be smart and stay on this time zone and quit fooling around twice a year changing things up.

Look for some rain tomorrow with temperatures dipping in to the 40s for most of this coming week. Nothing harsh, no big snows or anything, so we can live with this just fine.

Our temperatures will stay moderate with nothing in store as far as heavy rains, snows, etc.  We are in a pleasant little pattern for the beginning of November. Could be worse, we all know that. Anyway, so far, so good and it’s appreciated.

Friday, Nov. 3, 2023-SW Michigan-Decent Several Days Coming Our Way

Friday, Nov. 3, 2023-SW Michigan-Decent Several Days Coming Our Way

Cloudy with a 40% chance of rain becoming partly cloudy overnight. Low in the upper 30s. SW winds around 10 mph becoming NE.

Should stay in the comfortable range through Sunday. In fact, this weekend looks fine – maybe rain coming in overnight on Sunday, but the daytime hours of the weekend appear to be good to go for whatever you have in mind. Might see some rain today but maybe not. So far it’s dry, just ready in case.

Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023-SW Michigan-Bit Of Welcome Warmup On The Way

Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023-SW Michigan-Bit Of Welcome Warmup On The Way

Currently 39 with an average wind from the SW of 4 mph. Feels like 32 degrees. Dew Point 28, Humidity 63%, Barometer 30.09, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 8:18 am, Sunset 6:30 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a high in the upper 40s. SW winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Partly cloudy with a low in the mid 30s. SW winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Look for a nice little warmup over the weekend and on into Monday. Going to feel mighty comfortable. That cold front that swooped down from the Arctic and messed up the USA is now beating Europe about silly. Winds recorded to 90 mph. Funny how this earth of ours all connects eventually through the weather. I’m darn happy the cold front is past us for now, but feeling bad for places in Europe now dealing with it.

Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023-SW Michigan-Nov Starting Out Chilly

Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023-SW Michigan-Nov Starting Out Chilly

Currently 28 degrees. SSW winds 1 mph. Feels like 28 degrees. Dew Point 28, Humidity 100%, Barometer 30.17, Visibility 9 mi., Sunrise 8:16 am, Sunset 6:34 pm.

Mostly sunny until about midday becoming mostly cloudy. High in the upper 30s. W winds 10 mph.

Mostly cloudy in the evening becoming partly cloudy overnight. Low in the lower 30s. S winds 5-15 mph.

My little backyard ended up with an inch or so of snow while along the lakeshore, they got a whopping amount of snow from this first snow system. Wind currents coming off the still relatively warm lake water did them in.  We should see some 50-degree days over the weekend, but don’t get too comfortable with them. Sounds like the following week will be mostly in the 40s for daytime temps. November is definitely beginning on a wintry note.
