Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023-SW Michigan-Temperatures Have Chilled Down

Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023-SW Michigan-Temperatures Have Chilled Down

Currently 55 with a calm wind from the NE. Dew Point 58, Barometer 30.04, Humidity 86%, Visibility 9 mi., Sunrise 7:16 am, Sunset 8:01 pm.

Areas of patchy morning fog. Cloudy skies becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon. High 76. Light and variable winds.

A few overnight clouds with a slight chance of showers. Low 57. Light and variable winds.

Well, the previous forecast of rain Monday through Wednesday has shrunk. One site still claims rain Monday and Tuesday. One has it all condensed down to Monday. Either way, looks for certain like a rainy Monday coming up. Tuesday is up for grabs for now and Wednesday looks dry. Our temperatures have cooled right down from what we’ve been enduring lately. And not likely to spike back up again. The rest of this week looks as if it will only be in the 60s for a high. Pretty chilly nights which call for a slightly warmer comforter already. I guess it’s that time of the year.

Sunny with areas of morning fog. High in the lower 70s. Light winds.

Mostly clear with patches of overnight fog. Low in the upper 40s. Light winds.

Going to be a lovely weekend to be out and about doing most anything. Use it well ’cause it will be followed by what could be 3 days of rain. Nothing drastic or harsh, but rain, none-the-less. Our temperatures have mellowed into the 70s during the day and good sleeping temperatures at night. A comfortable time of year. Oh, but keep in mind, those 3 possible days of rain are going to be dwelling in the 60s, so light jacket time has arrived. I guess it’s time.

Friday, Sept. 8, 2023-SW Michigan-Clouds Today But Great Weekend

Friday, Sept. 8, 2023-SW Michigan-Clouds Today But Great Weekend

Currently 57 with an average wind from the SE of 3 mph. Feels like 57 degrees. Dew Point 57, Barometer 29.93, Humidity 100%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:14 am, Sunset 8:05 pm

Partly cloudy tonight. Low around 50. Light winds.

Not much to speak of today, but Saturday and Sunday are looking just fine. Those nice days will likely be followed by about 3 days of rain. This is, for the moment, our forecast.  So get through today, a rather colorless, uneventful day but then we can look forward to a grand weekend. Can’t ask for better than that.

Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023-SW Michigan-Dreary Sky Morning

Mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers until midday. High in the loer 60s. NW winds 10-15 mph.

Mostly cloudy with a low in the upper 50s. NW winds 10 mph.

A rather dull looking sky, but the temperatures have dropped into something comfortable for most of us. Doesn’t look as if any high numbers are in our future – at least not for now, anyway. And appears like no more rain until next week. Should be a good weekend coming our way.

Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023-SW Michigan-Cooling Rain Falling This Morning

Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023-SW Michigan-Cooling Rain Falling This Morning

Currently 75 with an average wind from the SSE of 6 mph. Feels like 75 degrees. Dew Point 71, Barometer 29.68, Humidity 100%, Visibility 7 mi., Sunrise 7:11 am, Sunset 8:08 pm.

Partly cloudy becoming mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low in the lower 60s. SW winds 5-10 mph becoming W with gusts to 20 mph.

Thunder rumbling and rain falling. All taking us away from those 90-degree numbers. Yes, it may get to 80 today, but I think for the most part, we’ll be seeing 70s and 60s from now on.  Will make everyone feel more fall-like once this rain washes away the too high numbers we’ve been experiencing. Today, grab the umbrella and keep an eye out for the possibility of some severe storms along the way.

Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023-SW Michigan-Storms And Temperature Drop On The Way

Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023-SW Michigan-Storms And Temperature Drop On The Way

Currently 82 with an average wind from the SSE of 3 mph. Feels like 84. Dew Point 70, Barometer 29.84, Humidity 65%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:10 am, Sunset 8:10 pm.

Partly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low in the lower 70s. S winds 5-15 mph with gusts to 25.

This week is very likely summer’s last hurrah as far as high temperatures. This batch of storms coming in – maybe some today or tonight – mostly tomorrow are going to lower our temperatures a good 20 degrees. We could even dip into the 60s for a while.  Today is going to be another uncomfortable one though, so just hang in there a bit longer. And keep an eye on the weather. Storms coming in tomorrow could well bring us a round of severe weather. Best be ready just in case.

Monday, Sept. 4, 2023-SW Michigan-Labor Day Bringing Near Record Heat

Monday, Sept. 4, 2023-SW Michigan-Labor Day Bringing Near Record Heat

Currently 77 with an average wind from the SSE of 2 mph. Feels like 77 degrees. Dew Point 71, Barometer 29.85, Humidity 83%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:09 am, Sunset 8:12 pm.

Sunny. High in the lower 90s. SW winds 5-15 mph.

Mostly clear. Low in the lower 70s. S winds 5-10 mph.

Summer weather for the beginning of what most of us consider fall. We will have several days of record or near record heat, but rain should come in by Wednesday. If it does, don’t be surprised if it brings the threat of some severe weather with it as our temperatures are going to drop about 20 degrees from what they are today by Thursday.  The temperatures toward the end of the week will feel much more welcome and comfortable than today or tomorrow. Since the wind has died down and won’t be producing dangerous waves, this might be a dandy day to head to the beach to enjoy one more beautiful beach day.

Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023-SW Michigan-Several Hot Days On The Way

Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023-SW Michigan-Several Hot Days On The Way

Currently 72 with an average wind from the S of 3 mph. Feels like 72 degrees. Dew Point 60, Barometer 29.86, Humidity 70%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:08 am, Sunset 8:14 pm.

Mostly sunny with a high in the upper 80s. SW winds 10-20 mph with gusts to 30.

Mostly clear with a low in the upper 60s. SW winds 5-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Today through Tuesday will be warm ones – culminating on Tuesday where we will very likely see 90 degrees. This will break and give us relief starting on Wednesday with the possibility of rain. The numbers will then drop down into the 70s where it will be much more comfortable after that. Just have to hang in there for a few more days. Should be a spectacular holiday weekend giving those who enjoy the great outdoors a splendid chance to experience it. And for plenty of others, one more chance to turn up the AC knowing they won’t be needing it much after this.

Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023-SW Michigan-Here Comes Some Heat

Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023-SW Michigan-Here Comes Some Heat

Currently 75 with an average wind from the SW of 5 mph. Feels like 75 degrees. Dew Point 63, Barometer 29.99, Humidity 64%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:07 am, Sunset 8:15 pm.

Partly sunny with a high in the mid 80s. SW winds 10-20 mph.

Partly cloudy with a low in the mid 60s. SW winds 5-10 mph.

Look for some sweltering temperatures on Monday and Tuesday. Several weather sites are showing the chance of precipitation coming in on Wednesday, but whether that happens or not, that day seems to be set on ushering in cooler temperatures. Back in to the 70s which will feel more than welcome.

Plenty of debate already about what sort of a winter we’ll be having. Who really knows? Frankly, I feel as if we’re about due for a dandy – lots of cold and snow. I’d rather not see that happen, but it could. In the meantime, we have Fall which is obviously created to imprint colors in our mind to help us through the bleak white of winter.

Friday, Sept. 1, 2023-SW Michigan-Plenty Of Sunshine And Warmth Coming Our Way

Friday, Sept. 1, 2023-SW Michigan-Plenty Of Sunshine And Warmth Coming Our Way

Currently 64 with an average wind from the E of 3 mph. Feels like 64 degrees. Dew Point 57, Barometer 30.13, Humidity 70%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:06 am, Sunset 8:17 pm.

Sunny. High around 80. S winds 5-10 mph.

Mostly clear. Low in the upper 50s. SW winds around 10 mph.

Our brief cool down period looks to be coming to an end with some pretty warm days on the way. Since it’s now September, it won’t be lasting but it will linger long enough for us to feel like cooler fall weather will be welcome when it comes along. As it will. In the meantime, enjoy the summer-like days.
