I measured 9 1/2″ of new snow in my little backyard this morning. That’s plenty. In fact, that’s enough. But I doubt that’s the way it’s going to go. Fairly certain we’ll get more snow before winter loosens its hold on us and departs.
I hesitate to mention it but as of right now, it looks as if we’re going to see some sunshine this coming Wednesday. Maybe even a bit on Thursday, perhaps Friday. Going to be a beastly cold week, but we could see some brightness tucked in among all the chill. That sunshine, if it shows up, won’t do anything to warm things up, but it sure will lighten up spirits tired of gray, gloomy days. We shall see how it goes. Keep those fingers crossed.
