Should be a steamy one today but the system coming in tonight that could bring us a small chance of some overnight rain, as well as perhaps on Friday morning, should cool us down again. At least drop us down from the 90-degree range. Looking like an excellent holiday weekend. I’m just saying, although we got a bit of rain the other day, we could use more dampening down before the onslaught of July 4th fireworks. Tinder dry is not a good background for live sparks flying around.

What a treat to wake up about 4:00 this morning to some thunder and the sound of rain. Things look much better out there this morning. Now if the chance that seems to be out there Thursday night and Friday morning can only be as kind to us. We could use it. In the meantime, today will present us a mild temperature but tomorrow sounds like another hot one. Just don’t be surprised to see something close to 90 for the day.

Well, I don’t know where it came from but suddenly there is an opportunity for some overnight rain. Just yesterday there was a chance for overnight rain on Thursday (that’s now vanished) and on Friday (that is still a possibility) so this new information is very welcome. Let’s just see how it goes. As of this morning there is nothing but brilliant blue skies and bright green leaves on the trees when I look up. Nary a cloud in sight. Hopefully some will move in and bring rain with them.

The temperature will be building up to Thursday where we might see another 90-degree day. That will also bring us our best chance for some much-needed rain. Can’t believe how dry it is out there. I’ve all sorts of birds and critters coming to my big ceramic bird bath sitting on the ground not far from my back door. Fresh water in it every morning – evidently the word has spread. Happy to provide it for them. Now if Mother Nature would be so kind as to provide for us the end of the week, all will be well. We’ll see how it goes. In the meantime, enjoy the fresh lovely air this morning. Feels delightful.

Didn’t get so much as a drop of the much needed rain here in my area. The system did wipe away a lot of the heat, dropping our temperatures down to the comfort zone, but there doesn’t look, as of now, like we have another opportunity for rain until next Thursday night and Friday. The heat will build back up to Thursday and supposedly that storm system will move through with – hopefully – some rain and drop the numbers back down again. Not a bad week ahead but it continues to be far too dry.

Everybody get busy and do a rain dance this morning. We sure do need the rain and there is a slight chance for some later today and overnight.  If you can’t dance, at least cross your fingers and hope for some precipitation. Everything getting brown and should be green out there will thank you. Tomorrow looks like a cooler and more comfortable day than the last few. Appears to be a comfortable week ahead for the most part. Something to look forward to.

We could see 90 degrees today and tomorrow with a bit of cooling for Sunday. There’s a slight chance for some overnight rain on Saturday and I’m hoping we get some of it. There doesn’t, as of now, appear to be an opportunity for rain again for at least the next week. Things are drying out and need precipitation. I’m seeing some clumps of dead leaves on the trees lately and I’m fairly sure it’s due to a lack of moisture. For sure we need a good dousing before the 4th of July as with the tons of fireworks that get blown up then, a fire danger will definitely be a problem. Everybody do their own version of a rain dance between then and now.  Might help. Or maybe not. At least the exercise will be good for us if nothing else.

We sure could use some rain as the grass is getting pretty much more brown than green in many places. There is a small chance of some rain moving in Saturday night, but who knows by the time we get there? A couple more 90-degree days coming before then, so all the more reason why we could sure use some if any rain does put in an appearance. Fingers crossed. Next week is looking like it could be in the comfort zone. Nothing extreme showing up right now. Again, fingers crossed. Today is a winner. Low humidity does that, doesn’t it? Gotta love it.

Today and tomorrow should be way more comfortable than Tuesday -which was horrendously hot. Friday and Saturday will heat up again with a pretty fair chance of rain coming in on Saturday to give us a nice cool down on Sunday. Looks like an interesting week.

No question about it, today will be hot. Tomorrow will be a tad cooler but don’t get too excited, it will still be in the 80s. Warm, but not tropic hot like today. We can get through this – just stay find a cool place to duck in to whenever you can and hydrate as often as possible. The first official day of summer is coming in with a vengeance.
