Snow will gradually wind down this afternoon. It’s been light off and on all morning. Might get a few more flakes overnight but then we should jolly well see some peeks of sunshine early this week. Especially Tuesday and Wednesday. Snow will return again on Thursday. Winter Storm Orlena hasn’t treated us badly but for those living along the East Coast that will be a different story. The storm will likely morph into a dandy Nor’Easter which will give them a totally different opinion of Orlena. All I can say is once again, we apparently lucked out. Color me happy about that. Could have been so much worse – I measured about 3″ of new snow in my little backyard this morning – and I strongly suspect we’re going to get hammered at some point in the not too distant future. We’re heading into what is usually the worst of winter, so shouldn’t be surprised when that gives us a hefty reminder or two of what winter is really all about.
