Currently 23 with a SSE wind of 3 mph. Feels like 23 degrees. Dew Point 20, Humidity 90%, Barometer 30.47 & rising, Visibility 9 mi., Sunrise 8:00am, Sunset 5:06pm.  Generally cloudy today with a few snow flurries possible. High 27. WSW winds 10 -15 mph.

Mostly cloudy tonight. Low near 20. WNW winds 10 – 15 mph.

Feeling downright nippy out there this morning. Hoping to see a peek at the sun off and on today, but that’s not a given. More likely to see snow flurries than sun rays.  Might not be winter yet, but it’s doing a mighty good job of pretending. If this weather continues, it’s going to feel like we’ve gone through a very long winter by the time it all departs.

  1. Hi Pat! You have a beautiful photo example of a “chaotic sky”. Different cloud types (cirrostratus, altostratus, fractostratus, and cumulus in your image) at different layers of the atmosphere. If this was a video and showed motion, more than likely these clouds would be traveling in different directions and/or at different speeds. This kind of sky can indicate a frontal passage occurring or different types of weather moving in from different directions. Fascinating! For more on cloud types go to: https://www.weather.gov/jetstream/cloudchart

Or google search for “chaotic sky” for many more examples of this atmospheric phenomena
    ‘Thanks for posting!
