Not a nice day. In fact I doubt, at this moment, whether my heat will ever be turned off and left off. I have turned it off several times only to flip it right back on. I refuse to be cold in my own house. The heck with it. And Spring was cold, and continues to be more cold than comfortable this year.

On this day of another Royal Wedding where the weather in England was ideal – sunny and bright – our weather is the flip side. Gloomy and damp. I’d much rather have been in the sunshine watching a Fairy Tale unwind with that stunning wedding but alas…here I am with my umbrella and long sleeve blouse. Such is life.

A bit chilly this morning but it should warm up to be a fairly decent day ahead of overnight rain. Not entirely sure what the weekend will bring as some sites are predicting rain, some not so much. It’s a wait and see thing. Only sure about today. Clouds and plenty of them.

A wonderful morning. Started out a bit cool but it’s gradually warming up to what should be a splendid day. Rain moving in on Saturday, but other than that, a batch of nice days. Fingers crossed for Sunday. One site has it with rain, another not. We shall, of course, see what coming along in a few days but we seem to be in a pleasant weather pattern and holding for now.

It’s a lovely morning and promises to be a lovely day. A bit chilly yet, but I did get to set out in back with my coffee this morning, which is what I dream about all winter long. Going to be a nice handful of days ahead – right on to Sunday, which at this point, seems to be wanting to bring in rain. We’ll see. Plenty can change by then. In the meantime, this is a fine and dandy day.

So, it’s a misty morning. Got .42″ in the rain gauge overnight, which is a fair amount. Not much of a heavy nature so far this morning and it’s supposed to pass on by towards afternoon. So not a bad day going on. At least with this rain, the temperatures are up where it doesn’t feel dreadful being out in it. We’re okay with that.

Listening to thunder rumble not too far off in the distance and light rain has done a stop/start thing so far this morning. I’m off and away with a busy day so I’m hoping we don’t get any big gully-washers while I’m out driving about. We shall see.

I have, not only a couple of hummingbirds so far, but a pair of Orioles that feed from the same feeder and these colorful birds are also eating at the Woodpecker seed cake station. I do have two cakes crammed in there at the same time, a Woodpecker flavor and an Orange one. I suspect it’s the Orange one attracting them, but whatever it is, I’m happy to watch them. Such wonderful color.

Not a nice weather day out there for any Mother’s Day celebrations that might have been scheduled for outdoors – but at least it isn’t raining here today. Maybe tonight, probably tomorrow, but not today. Nothing a warm jacket can’t fix.

It’s cloudy, cool, and still quite damp from the overnight rain, but hopes are up for a peek or two at the sun later on this afternoon. We did get .68″ of rain since yesterday, which helps to green things up. And green, after the white, gray and yuck of winter, is a lovely thing!

I love a nice rainy day and night…but not a cold rainy day and night and that’s what we have going for us. Not the most pleasant May weather and darn tired of not-pleasant weather. We’ve had our share. It’s time for sunshine,  warm little breezes, green things and flowers. No more cold anything.
