We did get .33″ of rain in the gauge overnight along with some called Severe Storms. Not really all that much happened near me beyond the continuous rolling thunder and flashing lightening. Not overly windy or all that much rain. It is good, though, to have alerts come along to inform us of the possibility of severe storms so we can be prepared. I’m certainly old enough to remember a time when that wasn’t the case. Whatever came at you, came at you and you either recognized some of the signs that bad weather was coming or you were caught by surprise. Now, we can watch weather maps that show us the weather systems swirling around above the entire earth, we have knowledgeable people guiding us through oncoming weather systems. We’ve learned and are learning so much. We’re really lucky that way.
