No rain this morning but it’s inevitable that it’s going to come around later today. With all the rain forecast for the next three days it’s definitely not thrilling for those with outdoor activities scheduled. The best we can do is be thankful we’re not dealing with the weather occurring in the southern states. At least we don’t have the torrential rains, hail and the almost certain threat of tornadoes racing across the south. Rain and some wind we can deal with. Not happily perhaps, but we can do it. We can pretty much always manage to move our Memorial Day celebrations indoors…at least our indoors will stay put for us, a it stands right now anyway.

While we’re coping with the unfortunate weather, I do hope we all take some time to give thought to what this holiday really means. And give thanks to all who gave their all in order for us to be free to have our holidays in freedom.

The cold front that swept along with the rain system we recently experienced will not appreciatively drop us into the 60s probably until Monday. But then we’ll have two or three day in that range. Won’t last longer than that, but it is going to happen. In the meantime 70 degrees today and Sunday. Alas, Sunday will bring rain and more on Monday. Not the best weather for a Memorial Day weekend. Wish I could report better. Can’t.

The line of storms riding along ahead of a cold front, currently threatening Iowa and Illinois, will move through Michigan later this evening and overnight. There could be the chance for some severe weather coming with it. So just be aware and alert. In the meantime, enjoy the sunshine today and what we may get of it tomorrow. Unfortunately look for rain on Sunday and Monday. Just in time for all the cook-outs, of coure. I reckon the secret is simply to enjoy the weekend wet or dry with this kick-off of summer holiday.

Not a bad day today, tomorrow and Saturday. Unfortunately, the Memorial Day Weekend looks to be a rain out. Not unusual for a Michigan holiday to have bad weather, but doesn’t make anyone happy, anyway. From here, it’s hard to tell just how rainy it’s going to be but the forecast doesn’t bode well. The rainfall varies from site to site. On one, Sunday looks to be dry until after 2:00 in the afternoon. That seems to be the only bright spot in the entire weekend forecast. And we all know how that can change. Frankly any outdoor activity could be iffy at best. Alas….

No precipitation due today or tomorrow but likely some rain coming on Friday. Might be clear on Saturday but as of now Sunday and Monday could well bring us rain. A rainy Memorial Day weekend isn’t exactly what anyone wants, but hey….this is Michigan and any holiday has to be regarded as iffy when it comes to celebrating outdoors. Such is life I reckon.

An interesting bit of thunderstorms last evening with the chance of a repeat performance tonight. Temperatures still holding in the 80s area but that won’t last for long. Could end up with a few days dipping down in to the 60s, mostly 70s coming up. Unfortunately looks like a rainy Memorial Day weekend. Maybe or maybe not. Different ideas from various weather sites. For the most part looks like a rainy Sunday and Monday but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Umbrella handy just in case.  Or at least grill in to the carport.

We may, for now, be on the outside line of the severe weather sweeping along, but it would pay to pay attention during today and tomorrow. I think especially after dark tomorrow. But don’t ignore the possibilities existing for today. Our chance for severe storms, high wind, hail, possible tornadoes is very real even if our number is low. Tomorrow may offer a greater threat, but today is worth keeping an eye on things, too. There are lines of storms moving to the north and east and, like I said, we could be on the outside portion of that, but don’t underestimate what could happen. Just be alert and prepared.

By Wednesday our temperature will have dropped a bit and it won’t be quite so warm, but the chance for rain could continue. So far, Thursday and Friday are looking fair with some sunshine. After that, seems as if the opportunity for rain is going to move back in for days.

A nice warm day today with sunshine galore.  Sounds like 80 degree days coming in for the next several, but with the chance of some rain coming along with it. Then we drop back in to the 70s which I’m sure will feel refreshing to most after a handful of days well into the 80s. It isn’t summer, but it’s feeling like it today.

What a glorious day for all of us who love the warm weather. Look for similar temperatures Sunday through Tuesday. Tomorrow will bring us more sunshine but Monday and Tuesday’s warmth will offer the possibility of thunderstorms to go along with. Fine summery weather all around. I’m loving it.

Much welcome sunshine moving in today and giving us a wonderful weekend. One of the best. Of course we then have to pay our dues with the following three days bringing rain. But that’s the way of things. Looks as if we’ll be well into the 80 degrees Saturday through Tuesday then by Wednesday the temperature starts to drop back down. Nothing drastic but the 70s and a few high 60s will seem cool in comparison to what’s coming over the next several days. Just be ready for the fluctuation.
