Monday, May 20, 2024-SW Michigan-Keep An Eye On The Weather
Currently 72 with a 3 mph wind from the W. Feels like 72 degrees. Dew Point 50, Humidity 47%, Barometer 29.93, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:13 am, Sunset 9:04 pm.
Mostly sunny today with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms developing. High in the mid 80s. SW winds 5-10 mph becoming E in the afternoon with gusts to 30 mph.
60% chance of overnight showers and thunderstorms. Low in the lower 60s. SW winds 10-15 mph becoming W 5-10 mph.
We may, for now, be on the outside line of the severe weather sweeping along, but it would pay to pay attention during today and tomorrow. I think especially after dark tomorrow. But don’t ignore the possibilities existing for today. Our chance for severe storms, high wind, hail, possible tornadoes is very real even if our number is low. Tomorrow may offer a greater threat, but today is worth keeping an eye on things, too. There are lines of storms moving to the north and east and, like I said, we could be on the outside portion of that, but don’t underestimate what could happen. Just be alert and prepared.
By Wednesday our temperature will have dropped a bit and it won’t be quite so warm, but the chance for rain could continue. So far, Thursday and Friday are looking fair with some sunshine. After that, seems as if the opportunity for rain is going to move back in for days.
