Currently 63 with an average wind from the ENE of 3 mph. Feels like 63 degrees. Dew Point 47, Barometer 30.23, Humidity 50%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:09 am, Sunset 9:10 pm.

Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of overnight rain. Low in the lower 50s. E winds 5-10 mph with gusts to 25.

Not bad weather. Still not overly warm but it is what it is. Doesn’t look now like we’ll be seeing any 80 degrees days until a few days in to June. Look for some rain tomorrow but it does appear as if dry days will follow along for a week or so after that. Can’t believe the month of May is almost finished and we still haven’t leveled off into some steady warm weather. Still hoping for that to happen. Sooner or later. Or not. :<(

Monday, May 26, 2025-SW Michigan-Glorious Memorial Day Weather

Currently 63 with an average wind from the ENE of 3 mph. Feels like 63 degrees. Dew Point 45, Barometer 30.3, Humidity 48%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:10 am, Sunset 9:09 pm.

Sunny. High  around 70 degrees. E winds 5-10 mph.

Partly cloudy with a low in the upper 40s. Light winds becoming E 5-10 mph overnight.

What a lovely morning this is weather-wise. Could not ask for better, I don’t think. The sun is shining with a clear blue sky, little to no wind blowing. This is perfect. Look for more clouds tomorrow and the Wednesday through Friday cooler temperatures with some rain mentioned every day. However…as of now next weekend is looking absolutely splendid. Fingers crossed that stays true, but so far, warm and sunny is the picture.

Please take some time today to remember and honor all of those who gave their all for us and our nation. We owe them a debt we can’t repay except for giving thanks for them and taking as good a care as possible for this land they died for.

Ridiculously cold yet tonight but it does sound as if things will gradually warm up. In fact, it does appear as if the month of June could usher in with some 80 degree days. Sure looking forward to that. For now, no rain until probably Wednesday and Thursday of the coming week. Other than that, the rest of the days will offer us some sunshine. Sounding better and better.

Saturday, May 24, 2025-SW Michigan-Dry Weekend On Tap

Currently 55 with an average wind from the W of 5 mph. Feels like 55 degrees. Dew Point 43, Barometer 30.2, Humidity 60%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:11 am, Sunset 9:07 pm.

Party cloudy tonight with a low around 40. NW winds about 10 mph in the evening becoming light.

Looks like no rain to mar the Memorial Day weekend here. Not overly warm, but sunshine should keep things bright. Not looking for any rain now until around next Wednesday. And the plus is, our temperatures will gradually get back up to where they belong. All in all, not bad.

Friday, May 23, 2025-SW Michigan-Warm Up Not Hurrying In

Friday, May 23, 2025-SW Michigan-Warm Up Not Hurrying In

Currently 50 with an average wind from the WSW of 5 mph. Feels like 50 degrees. Dew Point 39, Barometer 29.99, Humidity 68%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:12 am, Sunset 9:06 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a high in the mid 50s. NW winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Partly cloudy with a low in the upper 30s. NW winds 5-10 mph with gusts to 20 in the evening.

Astonishing how chilly it is staying. Especially the night time hours. Saw a bunch of geese flying over the other day and I suspect they have decided to go back south. I wouldn’t blame them. I would if I could. Look for several dry days, which leaves our Memorial Day weekend rain-free, but don’t look for any big warm up. Some time next week we’ll see 70 degrees again, and at this point all we can do is hope that if and when we get a string of warm days we aren’t going to have to pay for it – again – with a patch of cold ones.

Thursday, May 22, 2025-SW Michigan-Ridiculous Cold Continues

Thursday, May 22, 2025-SW Michigan-Ridiculous Cold Continues

Currently 54 with an average wind from the NW of 9 mph. Feels like 54 degrees. Dew Point 44, Barometer 29.81, Humidity 68%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:13 am, Sunset 9:05 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a high in the upper 50s. NW winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Partly cloudy with a low in the upper 30s. NW winds 5-15 mph with gusts to 25.

It is difficult to imagine that this cold weather is still sticking with us. And that it continues on until the beginning of next week. I have problems with even trying to tell you that next week we’ll be seeing 70 degree days. Perhaps even one that hits 80. Because frankly, I have trouble believing it myself. I’m trying – but obviously harder than Mother Nature is in bringing us any decent weather. Alas for spring…we are on the cusp of the beginning of summer and spring never actually did put in an appearance. As of now, look for dry weather coming our way. We should be finished with the rain for a while. Even that is tough to buy in to, isn’t it? But that’s what is being presented to us. We’ll see. I would dearly love to be able to put away winter clothes and turn off the heat. Again…we’ll see.

Wednesday, May 21, 2025-SW Michigan-Another Chilly Dismal Day

Wednesday, May 21, 2025-SW Michigan-Another Chilly Dismal Day

Currently 46 with an average wind from the NE of 8 mph. Feels like 43 degrees. Dew Point 46, Barometer 29.67, Humidity 100%, Visibility 3 mi., Sunrise 6:13 am, Sunset 9:04 pm.

90% chance of rain showers. High in the lower 50s. NE winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 30.

80% chance of rain showers. Low in the mid 40s. N winds 5-10 mph with gusts to 25.

This is getting old, isn’t it? Chilly days, too much rain, too little sunshine. This month of May has not lived up to its potential. Not even close. And although as of now, the last week appears to be warming up a bit it will be a case of way too little, much too late.

Look for more rain tomorrow with a bit of sunshine over the weekend. It won’t warm up much, sill will be only in the 60s, but hopefully dry. That’s as much of a plus as we can get these days, I reckon

Tuesday, May 20, 2025-SW Michigan-Chilly Uncomfortable Week Continues

Tuesday, May 20, 2025-SW Michigan-Chilly Uncomfortable Week Continues

Currently 46 with an average wind from the ENE of 8 mph. Feels like 41 degrees. Dew Point 39, Barometer 29.93, Humidity 77%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:14 am, Sunset 9:03 pm.

90% chance of rain with a high in the mid 50s. E winds 15-20 mph with gusts to 40.

80% chance of rain with a slight chance of a thunderstorm. Low in the mid 40s. E winds 15-20 mph with gusts to around 35.

This is simply miserable weather. Way too chilly for heading into the last of May. Look for more rain over the next couple of days and then some sunshine. Just don’t look for that sunshine to be warming things up real soon. It isn’t going to happen. The coming weekend looks bright but again, cooler than it should be. Perhaps next week we’ll be seeing some numbers back in the 70s. We can only hope so.

Monday, May 19, 2025-SW Michigan-Days Of Rain On The Way

Monday, May 19, 2025-SW Michigan-Days Of Rain On The Way

Currently 46 with an average wind from the E of 2 mph. Feels like 45 degrees. Dew Point 43, Barometer 30.1, Humidity 82%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:15 am, Sunset 9:02 pm.

Partly sunny today with a high in the mid 60s. E winds 5-15 mph.

Partly cloudy with an overnight low in the lower 40s. E winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 30.

Shouldn’t see any rain today but it does look as if the next three or four days will offer just that. So far next weekend does appear to be dry, but still cool. Not the best spring weather but we can be feeling fortunate not to be in that horrendous tornado area once again setting up in the south. Dreadful damage has been done and the fear is that the same areas are in for more of the same. All we can do from here is offer prayers for their safety.

Sunday, May 18, 2025-SW Michigan-Couple Of Dry Days

Sunday, May 18, 2025-SW Michigan-Couple Of Dry Days

Currently 54 with an average wind from the WNW 9 mph. Feels like 54 degrees. Dew Point 44, Barometer 29.9,  Humidity 71%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:16 am, Sunset 9:01 pm.

Partly to mostly cloudy. High in the lower 60s. NW winds 5-15 mph.

Partly cloudy. Low around 40. N winds 5-10 mph with gusts to 20 in the evening.

Enjoy these couple of dry days coming our way, but it does look as if the rest of the week offers an opportunity for rain. No big warm up coming either. We just keep on saying maybe the next week will be wonderful…and sooner or later it will be. Perhaps. I don’t know any more. This has been a very disappointing spring and I’m hoping our summer lives up to expectations. At any rate enjoy today. It should be pleasant – at least dry.
