Partly cloudy with an overnight low in the lower 60s. W winds 5-10 mph with gusts to 20 in the evening.

Last night  gave us a lovely rain with some thunder rumbling about. My favorite sort of night. We still have a chance for some more rain today but after that, we’re looking at a warm dry weekend. Sunday could be plain old hot. Maybe some rain on Monday, and that will be followed by a couple of dry days. We are getting a nice summery variety.

Partly cloudy with a 50% chance of overnight showers and thunderstorms. Low around 70. S winds 5-10 mph.

There is a marginal risk for severe weather today. Looks as if there is a chance of some rain later or overnight. Perhaps tomorrow, too. As of now, the weekend is still looking warm and dry. Summery weather seems to finally be with us. Took long enough to get here but once arrived, it hit like a hammer. We might see another 90 degree day here and there, but so far not another heat wave in our picture. Not to say we won’t get another one, but not right now, anyway.

Wednesday, June 25, 2025-SW Michigan-Several Days With Chance of Rain

Currently 73 with a 3 mph wind from the NE. Feels like 73 degrees Dew Point 72, Barometer 30.15, Humidity 100%, Sunrise 6:04 am, Sunset 9:25 pm.

Partly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers with a slight chance of a thunderstorm. Low in the upper 60s. E winds 5-10 mph.

In addition to the rain we got this morning, we could get some tomorrow and Friday, too. As of now, the weekend is looking dry. Could even see another 90 degree day on Sunday, if not at least pretty close. Monday will be bringing another chance for around of rain. Looks like we’ll be getting a bit of everything.  But hopefully, the days running of a solid heat wave are behind us for the time being. And fingers crossed we won’t see another one the rest of the summer – but I wouldn’t bet on that.

Tuesday, June 24-SW Michigan-Rain Could Be On The Way

Tuesday, June 24-SW Michigan-Rain Could Be On The Way

Currently 84 with a 2 mph wind from the NE. Feels like 88 degrees. Dew Point 66, Barometer 30.15, Humidity 53%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:04 am, Sunset 9:25 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of overnight showers and thunderstorms. Low in the upper 60s. N winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light.

There is a pretty fair chance of some rain Wednesday through Friday, then again on Sunday and Monday. Could see a dip in our temperature into the upper 70s on Wednesday but for the rest of the time it will remain in the 80s. Hopefully, after today, we will have seen the last of 90 degrees for a while. I don’t think any of us will be sorry to see that happen. This has been a whopping heat wave and we’re not as bad a some of the other states sweltering through this. Summer cranked up to the nth degree is not the funnest time.

Monday, June 22, 2025-SW Michigan-Heat Advisory Still In Effect

Monday, June 22, 2025-SW Michigan-Heat Advisory Still In Effect

Currently 88 with a 4 mph wind from the SSW. Feels like 93 degrees. Dew Point 70, Barometer 30.07, Humidity 57%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:04 am, Sunset 9:25 pm.

Sunny with a high in the lower 90s. SW winds 15-20 mph with gusts to 30. Heat Index to 102.

Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of overnight showers. Low in the lower 70s. SW winds 5-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Today feels worse than yesterday to me. When you get a dew point up to the 70s, and temperatures into the 90s…this is brutal hot weather. Anyone required to be outdoors today needs to be careful, drink plenty of water and seek shade as much as possible. Things will start to wind down tomorrow, but it will still be hot – with a slight chance for some rain. A much better chance for rain – storms – on Wednesday and Thursday. This is a week to be alert, keep an eye on the weather and take caution when you need to.

Sunday, June 22, 2025-SW Michigan-Blistering Hot Weather To Continue

Sunday, June 22, 2025-SW Michigan-Blistering Hot Weather To Continue

Currently 84 with a 4 mph from the SSW. Feels like 93 degrees. Dew Point 74, Barometer 30.01, Humidity 69 %. Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:03, Sunset 9:25 pm.

Sunny with a high in the mid 90s. SW winds 10-15 mph with gusts to around 30. Heat Index to 105.

Clear with an overnight low in the mid 70s. SW winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

For those of us who enjoy hot weather…this might even be a bit much, but for me it still beats being cold. Looking for 90s to hang around for awhile. Even when it dips this week it will only drop into the 80s. Still looking for rain about Wednesday, maybe Thursday. This might help lower the temperature some what but I doubt it will do much more than ramp up the humidity.  I guess anything will feel better than 90s with a heat index into the 100s.

This will be a summery week for sure.

Saturday, June 1, 2025-SW Michigan-Hot, Humid, Sunny And Windy

Saturday, June 1, 2025-SW Michigan-Hot, Humid, Sunny And Windy

Currently 81 with an average wind of 6 mph from the SSE. Feels like 81 degrees. Dew Point 71, Barometer 29.88, Humidity 73%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:03 am, Sunset 9:25 pm.

Mostly sunny with a high in the lower 90s. SW winds 10-20 with gusts to around 35. Heat Index to 105

Mostly clear with a low in the upper 70s. SW winds 10-20 mph with gusts to around 35.

There is a Heat Advisory in effect through the weekend. There is also a poor air advisory in effect and there is a marginal risk for a bit of severe weather today. Not ideal weather no matter how you look at it.

This is indeed a heat wave and it’s going to hang around with us through to about Wednesday. Even at that our temperatures for the rest of next week will only be in the 80s. Good chance for some rain to settle in on Wednesday, a small possibility it could find us starting some time on Tuesday. Let’s face it, this is the kind of summer that those folk in the south experience all the time. At least we only get it in streaks. This is one such streak. The only thing to do is try to stay out of the sun and hydrate as much as possible. Stay safe.

Friday, June 20, 2025-SW Michigan-Get Ready For The Heat

Friday, June 20, 2025-SW Michigan-Get Ready For The Heat

Currently 64 with a 4 mph wind from the W. Feels like 64 degrees. Dew Point 62, Barometer 29.84, Humidity 90%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:03 am, Sunset 9:24 pm.

Partly sunny with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms. High in the lower 80s. SW winds 5-15 mph.

Partly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low around 79. S winds 5-15 mph.

There is an Extreme Heat Watch from Saturday though Tuesday. And there is a slight risk for severe weather today.

There is some chance for rain today but after tonight, not much opportunity until mid next week. Once it starts, there is a chance for it every day from Tuesday on. And although we are supposed to be seeing 90 degree days Saturday until Tuesday, our temperatures won’t go down extremely far – only into the 80s. Warm weather is with us for now.

Thursday, June 19, 2025-SW Michigan-Hot Weekend Coming Up

Thursday, June 19, 2025-SW Michigan-Hot Weekend Coming Up

Currently 64 with a 4 mph from the W. Feels like 64 degrees. Dew Point 62, Barometer 29.84, Humidity 90%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:03 am, Sunset 9:24 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms through early afternoon becoming sunny. High in the mid 70s. NW winds 5-15 mph becoming W 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Mostly clear with an overnight low around 60. SW winds around 10 mph with gusts to 20 in the evening.

Not bad today and tomorrow won’t be either. But watch out for the weekend. Nothing comfortable about the numbers then, if the forecast comes around as predicted. Should be seeing 90s. Maybe even into the beginning of the week. No rain forecast yet until about the middle of next week.

Wednesday, June 18, 2025-SW Michigan-Rain, Maybe Some Storms

Wednesday, June 18, 2025-SW Michigan-Rain, Maybe Some Storms

Currently 68 with an average wind from the  E of 3 mph. Feels like 70 degrees. Dew Point 68, Barometer 29.82, Humidity 90%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:03 am, Sunset 9:24 pm.

90% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Heavy local rainfall possible. High in the upper 70s. S winds 5-10 mph.

90% chance of overnight showers and thunderstorms. Low in the lower 60s. N winds 5-10 mph with gusts to 20 becoming NW during the night.

Definitely a dark, damp day today. Still waiting to see if any of the severe storms visit us. At the very least, we’ll be seeing plenty of rain today and tonight. Perhaps still a bit lingering on into tomorrow but after that none in sight until about mid next week. And it’s going to get hot. Really hot. Saturday  through  the beginning of next week we could be looking at 90 degrees. Next week, even though some rain is in the forecast, doesn’t look like it’s going to get really what we could call cool. Maybe 80s rather than 90s, which will be a blessing, I suppose. Still and all, sounding like warm and perhaps humid weather ahead.
