Sunday, May 11, 2025-SW Michigan-Comfortable Mother’s Day Weather

Sunday, May 11, 2025-SW Michigan-Comfortable Mother’s Day Weather

Currently 55 with an average wind from the ENE of 5 mph. Feels like 55 degrees. Dew Point 40, Barometer 30.33, Humidity 52%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:24 am, Sunset 8:54 pm.

Sunny with a high in the lower 70s. E winds 5-10 mph with gusts to 20 until midday.

Clear with an overnight low in the mid 40s. SE 5-10 mph.

Not overly warm today but bright and sunny which makes up for it. We should see several lovely days with temperatures in the 70s -even very likely an 80. But not so much next week. For some reason we are going to fall right back into the 60s – even some 50s. This entire month looks like a roller coaster in the temperature area. Some good days, some not so much. Okay, we had high hopes for March, then April, now May. Looks to me like we are going to have to pin our hopes on June, with fingers crossed.

At any rate, Happy Mother’s Day to all it applies to. Enjoy your weather, whatever it is.

Looks like sunshine and warmth will be out until Tuesday, where rain could be moving in. Appears to be rain for Wednesday and perhaps after that back to some sunshine. We should be seeing some 80 degree days along the way which sounds wonderful. Mother’s Day this year is scheduled to be a lovely day for whatever you have planned.

Friday, May 9, 2025-SW Michigan-Comfortable Week Coming Up

Friday, May 9, 2025-SW Michigan-Comfortable Week Coming Up

Currently 55 with an average wind from the NNE of 2 mph. Feels like 55 degrees. Dew Point 26, Barometer 30.2, Humidity 35%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:26 am, Sunset 8:52 pm.

Clear in the evening becoming cloudy. Low in the lower 40s. W winds around 10 mph.

Not overly warm yet but the week coming up looks good. 70 degrees,, maybe 80, and we should do what we can to get out there and enjoy it. Because…much as I hate to say it the week after that looks, as of now, to be plunging us right back into the 60s. For some reason we simply can not win with the weather. What  good we get appears destined to be offset by not so good soon after. Will we ever get to the point where our weather is going to level out in nice and stay there? I guess we can only hope.

Downright nippy today and tomorrow but after that the numbers will go up. And we should have, in addition to the warmth, sunshine. At least until about next Tuesday or Wednesday. I guess the thing to do is grab a jacket today and tomorrow and then plan to enjoy the comfortable dry weather while we have it. This coming weekend is looking grand.

Finally comfortable weather is on the way. Should see a lot of 70s, maybe even an 80 degree day. No rain in sight, at least for now, until next week around Tuesday. This is sounding fine and dandy for a change. Things are greening up with the rain we’ve had and the warmth we’re in for. Can’t ask for more or better.

Unless things change – and we all know how quickly they can – this should be our last rainy day for a while. In fact, after around Saturday, our temperatures are set to rise well into the comfortable range. 70s and we could conceivably see an 80 degree day. SO looking forward to all of it.

Monday, May 5, 2025-SW Michigan-Might Get Rain Tonight, Tomorrow

Currently 50 with an average wind from the NE of 5 mph. Feels like 50, Dew Point 51, Barometer 30.01, Humidity 96%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:31 am, Sunset 8:47 pm.

We could see a few breaks in the clouds today but nothing spectacular. Likely rain tonight and tomorrow but after that we might be on tap for lots of days with sunshine showing up. Wednesday is the only day with comfortable temperatures but just wait…by Sunday we could be back in the 70s. Sure would be nice to be able to stay there rather than dipping back in to chilly as often as we have.

Picture with so much color courtesy of Glenn. I’m not anywhere to be able to see great evening color or sunsets these days.

Sunday, May 4, 2025-SW Michigan-Expect Some Rain Later On

Currently 46 with an average wind from the ESE of4 mph. Feels like 46 degrees. Dew Point 42, Barometer 29.97, Humidity 77%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:34 am, Sunset 8:45 pm.

100% chance of overnight rain. low in the upper 40s. NE winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

Maybe some sunshine tomorrow but look for a bit more rain on Tuesday. As of now – and we all know how fast that can change – it’s looking dry and well into the 70 degrees for the rest of the week. Should be a good one coming up.  This rain and that warmth should go a long way toward helping the trees leaf out and turn beautifully green. They’re trying now but a little help from Mother Nature wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Saturday, May 3, 2025-SW Michigan-Chilly Weather Remains

Saturday, May 3, 2025-SW Michigan-Chilly Weather Remains

Currently 46 with an average wind from the ESE of 4 mph. Feels like 46 degrees. Dew Point 42, Barometer 29.97, Humidity 77%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:34 am, Sunset 8:45 pm.

No warm up for us yet. Dry today but chance of rain Sunday through Tuesday. Sunday’s rain might hold off until the night time hours. Don’t be looking for any 70 degree days for the next week. They aren’t going to happen here. Unfortunately. Things are greening up and supposedly the hummingbirds are around. Just no spring-like warmth.

Friday, May 2, 2025-SW Michigan-Cloudy And Cool Today

Friday, May 2, 2025-SW Michigan-Cloudy And Cool Today

Currently 46 with an average wind from the W of 2 mph. Feels like 46 degrees. Dew Point 44, Barometer 29.81, Humidity 93%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:35 am, Sunset 8:44 pm.

Partly cloudy with a low around 40. NE winds 5-10 mph.

Our lovely weather that we were seemingly getting this coming week has vanished like fog on a sunny morning. Not that we’re going to be seeing many sunny mornings. Maybe we will see some sunshine on Saturday but as of now, that will be the end of that for the next several days. As for those comfortable 70 degrees? Don’t be looking for any of those until next week.  Probably about a week from today, matter of fact. We know that April showers are supposed to bring May flowers…except a lot of that precipitation this April was snow. And the flowers of May appear to be late bloomers for the most part. Ah, Spring…this will be yet another year when that season is more or less a no show.
