Sunny morning becoming a partly sunny afternoon. High in the lower 60s. SSE winds around 5 mph.

90% chance of overnight rain with a slight chance of a thunderstorm. Low in the upper 40s. E winds 5-15 mph.

Look for a rainy Thursday but then we should dry out and see no rain coming our way for the next week. In fact, next week will be bringing us back into the 70 degree range. Things are leafing out and greening up. It’s looking nice and spring-like – finally.

Tuesday, April 29, 2025-SW Michigan-Sunshine With Wind Today

Tuesday, April 29, 2025-SW Michigan-Sunshine With Wind Today

Currently 73 with an average wind from the S of 11 mph. Feels like 73 degrees. Dew Point 56, Barometer 29.73, Humidity 52%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:39 am, Sunset 8:40 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of morning showers becoming mostly sunny in the afternoon. high in the mid 70s. SW winds 15-25 mph with gusts to 40 becoming NW in the afternoon.

Mostly clear with widespread overnight frost possible. Low in the lower 30s. N winds 5-10 mph with gusts to 25 becoming NE overnight.

Turning into a bright nicely warm day a bit on the windy side, but pleasant anyway.  Unfortunately our temperatures will be dropping through the day to a chilly night. Sunshine tomorrow but the rain on Thursday will once again drop our temperatures, at least for a day or so, back to the lower 60s. We should see some sunshine from Friday right on through every day for the next week. At least some sunshine every day and it’s looking good for our temperatures to be in the 70s next week.

Monday, April 28, 2025-SW Michigan-Slight Risk Of Severe Storms Later

Monday, April 28, 2025-SW Michigan-Slight Risk Of Severe Storms Later

Currently 59 with an average wind from the SE of 6 mph. Feels like 59 degrees. Dew Point 38, Barometer 30.11, Humidity 40%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:41 am, Sunset 8:39 pm.

Partly cloudy with a 60% chance of overnight showers and thunderstorms. Low in the mid 60s. S winds 15-20 mph with gusts to 40.

There is a pretty strong chance for storms to the west/south of us but I think it will mostly move on leaving us with only a slight risk for the severity. Other places won’t be so lucky. At any rate we’ll have a chance for some rain later today, tonight, maybe tomorrow. Some sunshine might be ours on Wednesday but then rain again on Thursday. Our pattern continues – some good, some not so much. This will wrap up the month of April and usher us into what we can only hope is a better month. May is on the way.

Sunday, April 27, 2025-SW Michigan-Ready T0 Warm Up Again

Sunday, April 27, 2025-SW Michigan-Ready T0 Warm Up Again

Currently 50 with an average wind from the ENE of 2 mph. Feels like 50 degrees. Dew Point 37, Barometer 30.32, Humidity 52%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:42 am, Sunset 8:38 pm

Mostly sunny today with a high in the mid 60s. Light winds.

Mostly clear with a low in the mid40s. S winds 5-10 mph.

Not so warm today but at least bright with sunshine. Tomorrow and Tuesday will pop us back up into the 70s – and you know what that means according to our weather pattern. Yup – rain and the chance for some storms again. Right back into the 60s on Wednesday as a result. Some signs that the week after we could be enjoying mostly 70s – I guess we have to wait and see but it sounds lovely if that’s what turns out to be the case.

Saturday, April 26, 2025-SW Michigan-Weather Pattern Continues

Saturday, April 26, 2025-SW Michigan-Weather Pattern Continues

Currently 46 with an average wind from the SSW of 5 mph. Feels like 45 degrees. Dew Point 39, Barometer 30.18, Humidity 69%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:43 am, Sunset 8:37 pm.

Partly sunny through early afternoon the clear. High in the upper 50s. N winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Clear with areas of frost overnight. Low in the mid30s. N winds 5-10 mph in the evening becoming light.

We seem to be stuck in a pattern of a day or two of decent temperatures followed by several cooler than usual days. Same going on this week. Temperatures will build back up through Tuesday bringing us into the comfort of 70 degrees only to see them fall again back in to the lower 60s. There seems to be no way to break out of this so the only thing to do is wait it out and hope things even out in the warm zone pretty soon. At least the green is starting to show up with the trees beginning to leaf out. That’s refreshing to see. Seems like we’ve waiting for about ever for color to grace our landscape.

Friday, April 25, 2025-SW Michigan-Maybe Some Rain Later Today/Overnight

Friday, April 25, 2025-SW Michigan-Maybe Some Rain Later Today/Overnight

Currently 54 with an average wind from the NNE of 5 mph. Feels like 54 degrees. Dew Point 48 Barometer 29.57, Humidity 68%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:45 am, Sunset 8:36 pm.

Cloudy with a 40% chance of overnight rain. low in the lower 40s. N winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Not too bad today but our temperature will take a dip again tomorrow. At least this will only be into the 50s, not the 40s we’ve seen recently. Still cool on Sunday but up in the 60 degree range with some sunshine. We will see some 70 degree days next week, but again about Wednesday another dip in numbers happens. Thankfully these lower temperatures don’t seem determined to hang around and are quickly made to rise to what is more acceptable for April. I’m afraid on the whole, April has been almost – not quite, but almost – as big a disappointment as was March. This will not go down as one of our best Spring seasons. And like I always say, there is next year to look forward to with better results. Trouble is, it’s a long time between now and next spring, isn’t it?

Thursday, April 24, 2025-SW Michigan-Pleasant Today, Rain Tomorrow

Today will be an uneventful and fairly warm one but watch for a chance of some thunderstorms moving through tomorrow. Definitely scheduled to be a rainy Friday but that looks as if it clears the way for a sunny weekend. Maybe not an overly warm weekend but no rain seems to be coming our way.

Wednesday, April 23, 2025-SW Michigan-More Spring-Like Weather

Wednesday, April 23, 2025-SW Michigan-More Spring-Like Weather

Look for some rain this coming Friday but for the most part it appears we could be seeing some spring sunshine. And our temperatures will remain up in the 60s. Maybe a 70 next week. This, so far, looks to be a dry pleasant weekend. Things are at least beginning to green up. Not so much yet but it’s working.

Tuesday, April 22, 2025-SW Michigan-Some Sun And Warmer Days

Tuesday, April 22, 2025-SW Michigan-Some Sun And Warmer Days

Mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of overnight rain. Low in the upper 40s. Light winds.

Nothing to do but enjoy the sunshine when it shows up. Looks like days with a mix of sun and clouds for us for a while but the temperature is set to rise and give us a handful of 70 degree days over the next week. Perhaps rain on Friday but so far the weekend is looking dry and at least in the 60 degrees. Not shabby.

Monday, April 21, 2025-SW Michigan-Days With Some Sunshine Coming Our Way

Monday, April 21, 2025-SW Michigan-Days With Some Sunshine Coming Our Way

Currently 59 with an average wind from the SSE of 8 mph. Feels like 59 degrees. Dew Point 54, Barometer 29.67, Humidity 85%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:51 am Sunset 8:31 pm.

Partly cloudy in the evening becoming clear. Low in the upper 30s. W winds 10-30 with gusts to 30 deceasing to 5-10 mph overnight.

A little morning rain but that should be it until about about Friday. We should see sunshine every day until then – and once past Friday, we should be seeing a pleasant and dry weekend. It all sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? I think we’re getting there.
