Been raining since I woke up this morning and looks to be an all day affair.  Already had a couple loud crashes of thunder -which scared my cat silly. Be aware that we could get some wind and severe thunderstorms later today. Don’t rule out a tornado alert. I think it would be lovely to have a simple rainy day with no dramatics involved. That isn’t what we have in store for today.

Watch for our temperatures to take yet another dip the beginning of next week. Could even see a snowflake or two on Monday. I’m hoping things change by then, but not counting on it. Hard to imagine but it looks like the month of April just took up the baton from March and is running along with it – in spite of what we expected or would prefer.

Tuesday, April 1, 2025-SW Michigan-Sunshine Today, Storms Tomorrow

Currently 28 with an average wind from the NNE 6. Feels like 28 degrees. Dew Point 22, Barometer 30.19, Humidity 68%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:25 am, Sunset 8:08 pm.

Sunny until about midday becoming partly sunny. High in the mid 40s. E winds 5-15 mph.

90% chance of snow/rain/freezing rain overnight. Low in the lower 30s. E winds 10-20 mph with gusts to 35.

Today will be a calm one but head’s up about tomorrow. Look for a possible repeat of the severe stuff we got the other day.

Winter Storm Omari is racing across the country and most of wintry part of this will be way north of our area with definitely severe weather much more to the south. However, we will find ourself more or less in the center of it all. Neither the measurable snow to the north nor the high risk of tornado and flooding issues to the south. So…tonight will likely bring us our version – some wind with snow and rain. Tomorrow be aware that we could be in for a bit of all of it with a few severe storms, so just be ready in case.
