Winter Weather Advisory in effect until Saturday 12 am. Up to 7″ of snow possible.
100% chance of snow. Snowfall may be heavy at times. 3-6″ possible. High in the mid 30s. E winds 5-10 mph.
Mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of snow in the evening becoming partly cloudy. Low in the lower 20s. NE winds 5 mph becoming N.
It would appear we’re dealing with Winter Storm Ronnie. There is a Winter Storm Sawyer trailing behind, but fingers crossed not for our area. In the meantime, we could end up with 6 or 7″ of snow by the time this winds down. We actually never know here, because the brunt of storms usually slide to the south or north of us. For now, we’re getting snow. I haven’t noticed it being heavy so far, but of course that could change. Just be prepared and safe for whatever we do get.
Look for a bit of sunshine tomorrow and Sunday. It will be cold sunshine, but better than snow falling down on us. Be ready for that brief respite to slip right off into the possibility of a frozen mix Sunday night…and on and on it goes. Winter may have been reluctant to hang out with us when it should have, but here it is anyway, a late but persistent visitor. Like it or not.
