Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022-SW Michigan-Blizzard Warning Still In Effect

Currently 13 with an average wind from the SSW of 7 mph. Feels like 4 degrees. Dew Point 13, Barometer 29.58, Humidity 100%, Visibility 0.75 mi., Sunrise 8:11 am., Sunset 5:11 pm.

Blizzard Warning still in effect until 7:00 this evening

Blustery with areas of blowing snow. Snow accumulation 1-2″ expected. High near 15. W winds 20-25 mph with gusts to 40. Wind chill readings to -10.

70% chance of overnight snow with areas of patchy blowing snow likely. 1″ possible. Low 10-15/ W winds 10-15 with gusts to around 35 mph.

Still very cold when that wind hits you with the occasional blowing snow reminding us that blizzard warnings are still in effect. My area did not get the worst of the worst that had been expected. Yes, it’s cold and yes it’s windy. But not all that much snow – impossible to tell how much because it’s blowing around. Expect more snow tomorrow and probably Monday, but then appears as if a brief warmup will be settling in. Personally, I can hardly wait. Even though things didn’t get as bad as expected around here, it’s been bad enough to make things truly uncomfortable. Looking forward to some warmer air. Anything in the 40s is going to feel balmy.
