Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022-SW Michigan-Rain On The Way

Currently 47 with an average wind from the SE of 2 mph. Feels like 46 degrees. Dew Point 45, Barometer 30.06, Humidity 80%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:50 am, Sunset 7:06 pm.

Mostly sunny with a 40% chance of rain showers in the afternoon. High in the lower 70s. SW winds 5- 15 mph with gusts to 30.

30% chance of overnight rain showers. Low inthe mid 50s. S winds 5-10 mph with gusts to 25.

Probably getting rain from this afternoon through Thursday morning. Chilly Friday but maybe a couple of 50-degree days over the weekend. Going to drop back into the 40-degree range by Monday. And that’s where it looks to be staying for the week. Autumn chill is on the way.

Monday, Oct. 10, 2022-SW Michigan-October Continues Pleasant For Now

Monday, Oct. 10, 2022-SW Michigan-October Continues Pleasant For Now

Currently 41 with an average wind from the NNE of 4 mph. Feels like 39 degrees. Dew Point 40, Barometer 30.13, Humidity 97%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:49 am, Sunset 7:08 pm.

Sunny. High in the lower 60s. Light winds.

Mostly clear with a low in the lower 40s. E winds around 5 mph becoming S overnight.

The forecast remains the same with 70 degrees due on Tuesday, rain moving in Tuesday night through Wednesday, and our temperatures dropping down into the 40-degree range. This has remained steady for some days now, so I suspect that’s about what we’re going to get. Temperatures in the 40s takes it all out of the pleasant and comfortable area. At least for me. Might as well enjoy today and tomorrow. Could prove to be the last of the nice fall temperatures. Appears to be 40-degree days for us for at least the next coming week.

Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022-SW Michigan-Another Lovely Fall Day

Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022-SW Michigan-Another Lovely Fall Day

Currently 56 with an average wind from the S of 5 mph. Feels like 56 degrees. Dew Point 46, Barometer 30.01, Humidity 72%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:48 am, Sunset 7:10 pm.

Sunny until around midday becoming partly sunny. High in the low 60s. W winds 5-15 mph.

Partly cloudy with a slight chance of an evening sprinkle. Patchy overnight frost. Low in the upper 30s. W winds 5-10 mph becoming NE.

Been a grand weekend. Color is starting to show up here and there. Not a lot of it yet but getting there.  Still looking at the possibility of a 70-degree day on Tuesday followed by rain, which will be followed by a lowering of the temperature. Quite a bit by next week, actually. Looking at days with a high only hitting in to the 40-degree range. I guess if we do, indeed, get that 70-degree day, we’d best enjoy the heck out of it. Could likely be our last one for some time to come.

Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022-SW Michigan-Chilly Weekend For Us

Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022-SW Michigan-Chilly Weekend For Us

Currently 41 with an average wind from the S of 2 mph. Feels like 36 degrees. Dew Point 37, Barometer 30.24, Humidity 88%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:47 am, Sunset 7:11 pm.

Parly sunny until midday then becoming clear. High in the mid 50s.  W winds 10-20 mph.

Partly cloudy tonight with a low in the upper 30s. SW winds 5-15 mph.

Still looking at the possibility of a 70-degree day showing up around mid-week – but here’s some news not as nice. Right now, the first time for the season the mention of a frozen mix is putting in an appearance. Around next Saturday night. Maybe that will disappear by the time a week flies by. Let’s hope so. At any rate, I am MUCH happier seeing that possible 70-degree day showing up than I am seeing the first frozen mix.

Friday, Oct. 7, 2022-SW Michigan-Chilly Weekend Coming Up

Friday, Oct. 7, 2022-SW Michigan-Chilly Weekend Coming Up

Currently 40 with an average wind from the SSW of 8 mph. Feels like 34 degrees. Dew Point 35, Barometer 30.22, Humidity 81%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:46 am, Sunset 7:13 pm.

Mostly sunny with a high in the lower 50s. N winds 5-15 mph with gusts to around 30.

Partly cloudy tonight with areas of frost. Low in the mid 30s. Light winds becoming SW 10 mph.

Should be a pleasant weekend but rather on the cool side. There is a possibility of seeing another 70-degree day next week – maybe Tuesday? But don’t be looking for many of them because they are mostly a thing of the seasonal past for now. More mentions of frost showing up with our nights often dropping down into the 30-degree range. This will become more prevalent as our nighttime temps continue the downward slide into just plain old freezing. Coming to our area before we know it.  And before we need or want it. Not much to be done about it beyond replacing your furnace filter, caulking those windows and in general preparing for a Michigan winter right on the horizon.  But for now, a pleasant but coolish weekend is to be ours.

Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022-SW Michigan-Expecting Rain Later One

Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022-SW Michigan-Expecting Rain Later One

Currently 64 with an average wind from the SSW of 4 mph. Feels like 64 degrees, Dew Point 54, Barometer 29.9, Humidity 70%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:45 am, Sunset 7;15 pm.

Partly cloudy overnight with a 20% chance of rain. Low in the upper 30s. N winds 5-15 mph with gusts to 25.

No rain so far this morning but there’s a pretty good chance for some precipitation later on this afternoon. No rain after this batch until about mid next week. Look for 60-degree days, mostly 40-degree nights for the coming week.

Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022-SW Michigan-No Rain Today, But Tomorrow Likely

Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022-SW Michigan-No Rain Today, But Tomorrow Likely

Currently 46 with a calm wind from the ENE. Feels like 46 degrees. Dew Point 49, Barometer 30.04, Humidity 99%, Visibility 8 mi., Sunrise 7:43 am, Sunset 7:16 pm.

Partly sunny with a high in the lower 70s. SW winds around 10 mph with gusts to 20 in the afternoon.

Partly cloudy. Low in the upper 40s. Light winds.

Today isn’t a bad one but tomorrow looks to be of the wet variety. Pretty fair chance for rain. None again in the forecast until the following Thursday. At least that’s the way it appears for now.  Some pleasant days in between the rainy ones. Color starting to show up here and there but not a lot at this time. Has to be soon, though. Nature sticks rather close to the usual routine. And October’s routine is to brighten up the area with brilliance.

Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022-SW Michigan-Couple Nice Days Before Possible Rain

Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022-SW Michigan-Couple Nice Days Before Possible Rain

Currently 42 with a calm wind from the ENE. Feels like 42 degrees. Dew Point 43, Barometer 30.17, Humidity 89%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:42 am, Sunset 7:18 pm.

Sunny. Patchy fog and frost possible until about midday. High eventually in the lower 70s. Light winds.

Partly cloudy with possible overnight fog. Low in the mid 40s. Light winds.

Chilly this morning but it should warm up nicely later on today. Tomorrow is looking promising, too, with rain still showing up in Thursday’s forecast. The after, though, is still looking comfortable with October carrying on with proper fall-like temperatures. So far quite a pleasant month for us. Never know, in Michigan, what’s down the line, but so far, so good.

Monday, Oct. 3, 2022-SW Michigan-Still Looking Nice For Next Several Days

Monday, Oct. 3, 2022-SW Michigan-Still Looking Nice For Next Several Days

Currently 37 with an average wind from the NE of 3 mph. Feels like 37 degrees. Dew Point 41, Barometer 30.31, Humidity 100%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:41 am, Sunset 7:20 pm.

Sunny today with patchy frost possible until about midday. High in the mid 60sd. Light winds.

Clear tonight with a low in the upper 30s. Light winds.

Still on track for pleasant days until about Thursday. It does look as if Friday is going to feel more on the wintery side than the beginning of this week. Guess the only thing to do is enjoy the next several days and bundle up for the end of the week.

Hummingbirds seem to be gone and the Finch are rapidly losing their summer color. Soon going to be time to put away the summer birdbath and bring out the heated version. Not yet but getting there. Time for me to be cleaning the garage and getting it ready for winter use after being totally neglected all summer long. I only park in it when the weather appears to be threatening with snow, ice and all that winter misery. Something tells me I’m going to be using it more this winter than last. We’ll see. For now it’s keeping the rake handy, not the snow shovel. Thank goodness for that much.

Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022-SW Michigan-Couple Of Great Days For Us

Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022-SW Michigan-Couple Of Great Days For Us

Currently 61 with an average wind from the ESE of 5 mph. Feels like 61 degrees. Dew Point 46, Barometer 30.29, Humidity 61%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:40 am, Sunset 7:22 pm.

Sunny with a high in the lower 60s. NE winds 5-15 mph.

Mostly clear with patchy fog and frost possible overnight. Low in the mid 30s. E winds 5-10 in the evening becoming light.

Today through to about Thursday should be fantastic weather. Look for rain on Thursday and then a drop of about 20 degrees for our Friday. Going to be a downright chilly day. In the meantime, I hope you’re able to be out and about and soaking up these comfortable days when we get them. Today is definitely one.
