Tuesday, July 19, 2022-SW Michigan-Going To Be A Warm One

Tuesday, July 19, 2022-SW Michigan-Going To Be A Warm One

Currently 79 with an average wind from the W of 4 mph. Feels like 79 degrees. Dew Point 68, Barometer 29.89, Humidity 66%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:19 am, Sunset 9:16 pm.

Sunny today with a high in the upper 80s. W winds 5-15 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

Partly cloudy overnight with a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low in the lower 70s. SW winds 5-15 mph with gusts to 30.

Could conceivably get to 90 today. At any rate, 90 or upper 80, it’s going to feel warm. (Could be far worse. Have you seen what London; England is having to endure today? Where A/C is almost unheard of, they are sweltering until 100+ heat) We’re going to stay warm this week but nothing like other places around the globe are stuck in. And we could get a bit of rain later today and overnight. Not a big chance, but some none-the-less. Just enjoy the summer weather. Me? I’ll take this over winter’s brutal cold any time.

Monday, July 18, 2022-SW Michigan-A Wonderful Summer Day

Monday, July 18, 2022-SW Michigan-A Wonderful Summer Day

Currently 74 with an average wind from the WNW of 2 mph. Feels like 74 degrees. Dew Point 63, Barometer 29.85, Humidity 60%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:18 am, Sunset 9:17 pm.

Sunny today with a high in the mid 80s. NW winds around 10 mph becoming SW in the afternoon.

Mostly clear overnight with a low in the upper 60s. SW winds 5-10 mph with gusts to around 20.

This is about a perfect summer day with bright blue skies, plenty of sunshine and relatively low humidity. Doesn’t get much better than this. Looks, as of now, like the rain has been removed from the week picture until – you guessed it – about next Sunday. We’ll see how that goes. Perhaps Sunday will turn out pleasant too. Hope so. In the meantime, enjoy this coming week. Might get a bit warm now and then but nothing like the sweltering states dealing with 100+ temperatures. Consider us blessed.

Sunday, July 17, 2022-SW Michigan-Some Rain Later On Possible

Sunday, July 17, 2022-SW Michigan-Some Rain Later On Possible

Currently 75 with an average wind from the NE of 7 mph. Feels like 75 degrees. Dew Point 68, Barometer 29.88, Humidity 83%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:18 am, Sunset 9:18 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. High in the lower 80s. E winds 5-15 mph.

Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening becoming partly cloudy. Low in the mid 60s. NE winds 5-10 mph with gusts to 20 in the evening.

Difficult to get a handle on this coming week’s weather. One site reporting a chance for rain Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. Another no rain in view until next weekend. Temperatures look to be in the 80s. A couple of days perhaps nearing 90, but still hanging on the 80s the best it can. Sounds like a not-so bad summer week. And give thanks to the Jet Stream that is still keeping us out of the monster hot weather so many other spots in the country are experiencing. Day after day after day. 100-degree misery. We really are fairly lucky here in our little corner of the nation.

Saturday, July 16, 2022-SW Michigan- Rain Seems To Be Gone For Today

Saturday, July 16, 2022-SW Michigan- Rain Seems To Be Gone For Today

Currently 70 with an average wind from the NNE of 4 mph. Feels like 70 degrees. Dew Point 68, Barometer 29.99, Humidity 91%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:17 am, Sunset 9:19 pm.

Mostly cloudy today with a high in the lower 80s. Light winds.

Partly cloudy in the evening becoming mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of overnight rain. Low in the mid 60s. Light winds.

Okay, so the rain previously forecast as a possibility today seems to be missing. Not so for tomorrow. It’s still in the picture. So who knows? And now about mid-week where it was previously forecast to give us some sun and 90 degrees is now forecast for 80s and rain. So again, who knows? Just makes it rather interesting to try and make plans in Michigan, doesn’t it?

Friday, July 15, 2022-SW Michigan-Rain To Develop Later & Through The Weekend

Friday, July 15, 2022-SW Michigan-Rain To Develop Later & Through The Weekend

Currently 74with an average wind from the SE of 4 mph. Feels like 74 degrees. Dew Point 60, Barometer 30.1, Humidity 63%, Visibility 10 mi, Sunrise 6:16 am, Sunset 9:19 pm.

Partly sunny until midday then there is a 70% chance of rain showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. High in the upper 70s. S winds 5-15 mph.

Mostly cloudy overnight with a 50% chance of rain showers and thunderstorms. Low in the lower 60s. SE winds around 5 mph.

Looks like the rain is still in the forecast for this weekend. Not a 100% all day thing for either day but the chance for some rain is definitely there. A good thing is that the 90-degree weather that had been in our forecast for next week has currently been removed. For now it’s looking like 80 degree days ahead of us. Maybe some high 80s but still…

Thursday, July 14, 2022-SW Michigan-A Pleasant Summer Day

Thursday, July 14, 2022-SW Michigan-A Pleasant Summer Day

Currently 68 with an average wind from the ENE of 4 mph. Feels like 68 degrees. Dew Point 60, Humidity 72%, Barometer 30.1, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:15 am, Sunset 9:20 pm.

Sunny. High in the lower 80s. Light winds.

Mostly clear with a low in the mid 50s. Light winds.

Should be a couple of wonderful summer days for us but look for some rain to perhaps move in for Saturday and Sunday. Not the best but nothing much we can do about it. We all know how these things go, rain forecast one day, and it vanishes from the picture the next. I’m rather hoping that’s what happens to release the weekend for all the outdoor activities everyone would like to get to. We’ll have to see, but I guess at this point I’d have some indoor plans at the ready just in case.

Wednesday, July 13, 2022-SW Michigan-Some Rain In The Forecast

Wednesday, July 13, 2022-SW Michigan-Some Rain In The Forecast

Currently 66 with a calm wind from the S. Feels like 66 degrees. Dew Point 65, Humidity 87%, Barometer 29.9, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:14 am, Sunset 9:21 pm.

Partly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. High around 80. Light winds becoming N 5-10 in the evening.

Partly cloudy overnight with a low in the mid 50s. NE winds 5-10 mph.

Looking at the forecast now  shows an entirely different picture than we saw yesterday. The possibility of some rain has moved in for the weekend and it does, for now anyway, look as if next week won’t be getting quite as hot as had been predicted. This is what is fascinating about Michigan weather. Blink and it’s changed.

Woke to a lovely rainfall around 4:00 this morning. Didn’t last all that long, but it was welcome and pleasant. Could be a bit more rain today. Although who really knows? Keep tuned…we’ll all find out as it unfolds :>)

Tuesday, July 12, 2022-SW Michigan-Clouds With A Small Chance Of Rain

Tuesday, July 12, 2022-SW Michigan-Clouds With A Small Chance Of Rain

Currently 69 with an average wind from the NW of 8 mph. Feels like 69 degrees. Dew Point 63, Humidity 89%, Barometer 29.75, Visibility 9 mi., Sunrise 6:13 am, Sunset 9:21 pm.

Partly cloudy with a slight chance of some rain developing. High in the upper 70s. NW winds 10-15 mph with gusts to around 25.

Partly cloudy becoming mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of overnight showers. Low in the upper 60s. W winds 5-10 mph becoming light.

It may not be too breezy down here where we are but when I stepped out to catch a picture of the morning sky, I had to spend some time just watching how fast the clouds were flying by. Fascinating. Up there, where they are, there is some serious wind blowing. Could get some light rain today and tonight. Maybe. But it’s, as usual, a wait and see game.

Our temperatures are set to start rising to about Wednesday next week, where we’ll be coping with 90-degree days again. Right now, it looks to be a lot of them. Another wait and see situation. But get ready for some really warm weather coming up.

Monday, July 11, 2022-SW Michigan-Clouding Up With A Fair Chance For Rain

Monday, July 11, 2022-SW Michigan-Clouding Up With A Fair Chance For Rain

Currently 76 with an average wind from the S of 5 mph. Feels like 76 degrees. Dew Point 63, Humidity 66%, Barometer 29.77, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:13 am, Sunset 9:22 pm.

Becoming mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. High in the mid 80s. SW winds 10-20 mph with gusts to 30 possible.

Mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low in the mid 60s. W winds 10-15 mph.

I’m really hoping that this chance for rain later today and overnight turn into something real. Doesn’t look like anything in the future cropping up, as of now, anyway. Temperatures this week will remain comfortable but watch out for next week. We could be toying with 90-degree days again. All the more reason for wanting some rain to help keep things from crisping up any sooner than necessary.

Sunday, July 10, 2022-SW Michigan-Another Fabulous Day

Sunday, July 10, 2022-SW Michigan-Another Fabulous Day

Currently 59 with an average wind from the N of 1 mph. Feels like 59 degrees. Dew Point 53, Humidity 66%, Barometer 30.13, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:12 am, Sunset 9:22 pm.

Sunny skies today with a high in the mid 80s. SW winds 56-10 mph.

Partly cloudy tonight with a low in the lower 50s. W winds 5-15 mph.

Just a fantastic summer day for us. And we are SO lucky. Our weather is fairly decent on the whole and when you compare it to lots of sweltering states, we are most fortunate not to be having to deal with 100 degrees day after day. I love the heat but I can’t imagine having to cope with 100 degrees and high humidity as my average day. Our weather for the coming week seems to allow us to enjoy temperatures in the 80s. Still a slight chance of some rain Monday night, other than that, it’s clear sailing right on through to next weekend. Let’s be happy and enjoy it all. Michigan has a lot to offer, not the least is having temperatures that allow us to get out and about even in the middle of a summer day.
