Not a hint of color in the sky this morning. It’s what I like – well, one of the things – least about the winter season. The colorlessness of it all. At least this time of the season there is plenty of man-made color about. Just look around. It’s everywhere. Christmas trees glowing in windows and holiday decorations hanging everywhere. Sure puts Mother Nature’s lack of color imagination to shame. Not that she isn’t capable when she feels like it. Northern lights, sunbeams filtering down through silver lined clouds…occasionally I guess there is something worth viewing. But most mornings in winter are just like this, not a lick of color anywhere in nature.
Oops….there goes a flash of red…I’ll be darned. A Cardinal. Well, perhaps…
