Friday, Oct. 22, 2021-SW Michigan-Chilly October Morning
Currently 40 with an average wind from the NE of 1 mph. Feels like 40 degrees. Dew Point 40, Humidity 93%, Barometer 30.07, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 8:05 am, Sunset 6:50 pm.
Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a rain shower. High 48. Light and variable winds.
Cloudy overnight with a low of 38. Light and variable.
No overnight freezing in sight yet but can’t be all that far off. Chilly mornings make getting up a tad less inviting for those able to stay in a warm bed as long as possible. Unless you have a cat or a dog who insists that routine be adhered to regardless of comfort levels.
Our Autumn has been a warm one so far and our leaf peeping minimal due to lack of brilliance in color. Leaves are falling still green or looking a dead brown at best. Some color is showing up and will show up but it had best hustle along in order not to get buried under ice or snow, which is bound to show up eventually. This is actually what worries me…heavy snow on trees still hanging on to leaves makes for broken limbs and power outages. Hopefully the harsh weather will hold off until the trees decide to shed their foliage. Looking good so far. No wintry weather in our forecast even though it’s starting to show up far too often out west. Which means sooner or later…
