Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020-SW Michigan-One More 70 Degree Day For Us

Currently 70 with an average wind from the SW of 6 mph. Feels like 70 degrees. Dew Point 60, Barometer 29.84, Humidity 69%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:29 am, Sunset 5:22 pm.

Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain. High in the lower 70s. SW winds 10 -20 mph.

Windy with a 100% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening becoming cloudy later. Low around 40. SW winds 20-30 mph with higher gusts possible.

OK, we got a bonus 70 degree day today. Can’t get too excited about it because it’s leading us into a stormy evening that could possibly get severe. This will drop our temperatures back down into what is more normal for a Michigan November. Goodness knows this past week hasn’t even been close. Warm and wonderful. And much appreciated. I doubt very much if the weather later on this evening is going to be all that much appreciated.

Monday, Nov. 9, 2020-SW Michigan- Could Be Last 70 Degree Day Until Spring

Monday, Nov. 9, 2020-SW Michigan- Could Be Last 70 Degree Day Until Spring

Can’t believe this amazing weather. Probably will reach a record temperature today. And for almost certain sure it will be our last 70 degree day until the winter that’s taking aim at us departs…a long, long time from now. But today? This is fantastic. I’m finding flies, spiders, little bugs that I only find coming out and have to do battle with in the spring. Even the creatures here about are confused by this weather. Strange and very much appreciated I can tell you that.

This is definitely unusual November weather and it will stay with us through tomorrow. Wish I could say right on through winter, but that’s wishful thinking to the nth degree. For now, today and tomorrow, we are looking a close to record November temperatures. Much appreciated, especially this morning looking at the blizzard warning far out in the West. We know, full well, this is coming to our region sooner or later – but later, much later, would be wonderful.

There is absolutely nothing to report today beyond sunshine and blue skies. Looking ahead there appears to be only a couple of nights with temperatures dipping down as low as 31, otherwise all above freezing. Another good week of weather coming at us.

Can’t find a single thing to complain about with our weather. Yesterday never did materialize any sun, but the temperature remained comfortable and pleasant. No rain in sight until sometime next week. Continuing to enjoy the dickens out of this unseasonable stretch of November weather.

This is unbelievable, the forecast for this coming Sunday and Monday is still reading 70 degrees. This is Michigan – November. Wow! Not complaining, celebrating.  All too soon this will be a pleasant memory and we’ll be getting smacked in the face with bitter winds and ice. But not today. Not for the next handful of says at least. Color us all happy.

A week of outstanding weather that is quite unusual for Michigan in November. My understanding is by Sunday we could hit 70 degrees. Hard to believe. It won’t stay there, but for this week, we’re going to revel in the warmth and the sunshine.

Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020-SW Michigan-Election Day

Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020-SW Michigan-Election Day

Clear overnight with a low in the mid 40s. SW winds 5 – 10 mph with gusts to 20.

We’re heading in to our fine week of comfortable weather and with appreciate for it all. Been windy, leaves are piled up about knee high in places, but that’s par for the course. No point in trying to do anything with them until the wind dies down. Wish all of the leaves would simply drop and get it over with but there’s still – in spite of the overwhelming appearance of acres of leaves everywhere – plenty of leaves still stubbornly attached. Just the way it is, I guess.

This will be the last chilly day for about a week. After today we’re in for a week of 50-60 degree days. Should be a great handful of days. Looking forward to it. Yesterday was a bear. Windy, snowy…an altogether miserable time. No more of that for a little while. So happy about that.

An ugly little morning. Spitting snow and windy. Feels like winter even if we do have a rather comfortable week coming at us once we get past today, this is a taste of the season we’re heading in to. A great day to stay inside and watch the leaves and snowflakes flying around. And that’s exactly what I plan on doing.
