Thursday, June 22 Southwest Michigan – Clouds, Maybe Some Rain
Currently 76 degrees with a SW wind of 10 mph not impressing the temperature controller, so it’s remaining steady at 76. Dew Point 65, Humidity 83%, Barometer 29.80 & falling, Visibility 10 mi. A bit of variety in the forecast today depending on which source I check. Trying to wrap it all together it would appear as if we will be dealing with mostly clouds and a 40% chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms. High in the upper 80s. SW winds 15 – 25 mph with gusts to 30.
70% chance of overnight showers and thunderstorms. Low upper 60s. SW winds 5 – 15 mph with gusts to 25.
The picture is from Tuesday. Thank goodness someone else was driving because I was so enthralled with the cloud formations and snapping pictures, I likely would not have survived the day had I been behind the wheel.
Starting out with plenty of clouds this morning, not much looking as if they want to clear out any time soon. So I’m betting we’ll be getting at least some rain today or tonight – maybe both. We can still use more rain here. Quite unlike the south that’s getting inundated with rain from that tropical storm invading their territory. Hoping for the best for them. And doesn’t it seem as if the ‘storm’ season down there is starting early this year? Might be an interesting season coming up. And I say that as a weather observer, not as someone who would particularly enjoying living in the midst of it.
