Tuesday, June 8, 2021-SW Michigan-Finally Got A Substantial Rain
Currently 70 with a calm wind from the South. Feels like 70 degrees. Dew Point 70, Barometer 30.07, Visibility 6 mi., Sunrise 6:03 am, Sunset 9:19 pm.
Patchy dense fog until midday. 60% chance of rain showers and thunderstorms. High in the mid 80s. Light winds with gusts to 20 mph.
Mostly cloudy overnight with a 30% chance of rain shower and thunderstorms. Low in the upper 60s. Light winds.
Yesterday finally gave us a good, solid rain. Measured a little over an inch in my backyard. Much needed rain at that. Today the morning fog has been dense and slow to lift. The Dew Point is high making it feel muggy outside with no wind to help things feel cool. Might be rerun time for the next couple of days, the circumstances are right. Temperatures are seemingly set on staying in the same range all week. It might be too warm for some, but we here in SW Michigan are not, thankfully, deep into the heat wave much of the rest of the country is living through. So – could be worse, folks. Just take it easy, keep cool and keep an umbrella handy just in case.
