Monday, Aug. 5, 2019-South West Michigan- Hoping For Overnight Rain

Currently 68 with a WSW wind 5 mph. Feels like 68 degrees. Dew Point 61, Humidity 77%, Barometer 29.91, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 6:36  am, Sunset 8:58 pm. Sunny to partly cloudy today. High around 85 degrees. WSW winds 10 -15 mph.

60% chance of scattered overnight showers developing late. Low 67. SW winds 10 -15 mph.

A lovely cloudless morning so far. Not a cloud in the sky to litter up the beautiful Summer blue. Would be great to get some overnight showers, but not putting too much trust in the forecast.

We did get a couple of rumbles of thunder along with a few drops of rain yesterday evening. Just enough to draw me to the chair by the bedroom window, to rock and inhale the fresh faintly rainy air. Must have been very soothing because I fell asleep. Not long – maybe 10 minutes or so – but long enough to miss any other falling raindrops because by the time I woke up again, it was all long gone. I hate to sound greedy, but it sure would be nice to get more than a couple of minutes of light rain. Fingers crossed for tonight, but like I said, not exactly counting on it.
