Wednesday, July 4, 2018 South West Michigan – Happy 4th of July

Currently 82 with a SSE wind of 4 not making much difference, but the Dew Point and Humidity are so the Heat Index is high and it feels like 89 out there.  Dew Point 73, Humidity 74%, Barometer 30.21 & rising, Visibility 10 mi, Sunrise 6:07 am, Sunset 9:15 pm. Partly cloudy with a 40% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. High 89. SSW winds 5 – 14 mph.

Partly cloudy tonight with the slight chance of showers or thunderstorms. Low 74. Light and variable winds.

A hot July 4th. In fact, this entire summer has been a hot one so far. People who usually enjoy outdoor activities are finding themselves skipping out on them – fishing, biking – it’s simply too hot out there. I imagine, if the rain holds off and folks can gather for fireworks this afternoon, they’re going to be sticky hot, but they’ll still get together and enjoy the holiday if it’s at all possible. We’ll see how well Mother Nature cooperates.
