Currently 39 with an average wind of 5 mph from the SE. Feels like 32 degrees. Dew Point 29, Barometer 30.15, Humidity 78%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:40 am, Sunset 5:14 pm.

Cloudy with a 100% chance of overnight rain. Low in the lower 30s. E winds 10-20 mph.

Once the rain clears away after tomorrow, we should expect dry days the rest of the week. Good weather for the Thanksgiving holiday. Could be so much different. We’ve had much worse in past years. This one will allow for good travel conditions.

Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023-SW Michigan-Nothing Drastic In Store

Currently 37 with an average wind of 3 mph from the ENE. Feels like 32 degrees. Dew Point 33, Barometer 29.91, Humidity 62%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:39 am, Sunset 5:15 pm.

I don’t know…from forecasts that included possible snow to wind and rain to…well, plenty of variety…as of now our Thanksgiving holiday appears to set on behaving very well. Comfortable temperatures and dry. That seems to be the picture forming up for now anyway. We’ll take it if that’s what materializes.  Today is lovely. A tad cool, but sunny and bright. I put that in the plus column for a mid-November Sunday in Michigan.

Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023-SW Michigan-Not A Bad Week Ahead

Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023-SW Michigan-Not A Bad Week Ahead

Currently 36 with an average wind from the WSW of 3 mph. Feels like 28 degrees. Dew Point is 30, Barometer 29.88, Humidity 74%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:38 am, Sunset 5:16 pm.

Sunny. High in the upper 40s. SW winds 5-15 mph becoming W 15-20 in the afternoon with gusts to 30 mph.

Clear. Low in the lower 30s. W winds 5-10 in the evening becoming light.

Lots of conflicting reports on what sort of precipitation we’re supposed to get. One even goes so far as to mention snow before Thanksgiving. Most, however, forecast some rain on Tuesday but then nothing of significance the rest of the week. I’m going with those. Could end up with a bit of snow by the end of the month or the beginning of the next month. According to most reports. I guess at this time of year we aren’t going to know until we know. Changeable late fall weather in Michigan isn’t unusual. For now, we can pretty much count on rain for Tuesday.

Friday, Nov. 17, 2023-SW Michigan-Real Cool Down On The Way

Friday, Nov. 17, 2023-SW Michigan-Real Cool Down On The Way

Currently 46 with an average wind from the SSE of 7 mph. Feels like 39 degrees. Dew Point 38, Barometer 29.74, Humidity 82%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:37 am, Sunset 5:16 pm.

Clear overnight. Low in the upper 20s. NW winds around 10 mph becoming light during the night.

Afraid our comfortable temperatures are becoming a thing of the past. Look for much cooler temperatures by next week and it isn’t beyond the realm of possibility that we could see some snow by the end of the month. Alas…winter is definitely on the way.

Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023-SW Michigan-Enjoy Sunshine Today, Expect Rain Tomorrow

Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023-SW Michigan-Enjoy Sunshine Today, Expect Rain Tomorrow

Currently 45 with an average wind from the SSW of 4 mph. Feels like 39 degrees. Dew Point 38, Barometer 29.95, Humidity 65%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:35 am, Sunset 5:17 pm

Windy. 90% chance of overnight rain. Low in the lower 40s. SW winds 20-30 mph.

Today is going to be fairly decent but tonight things change a bit. A strong wind will bring in rain and cooler temperatures for us. This past comfortable stretch of days has been delightful, but all things have to eventually come to an end. I guess today is the end. Basically. Nothing drastic moving in, but the warmth is definitely on the way out.

Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023-SW Michigan-Couple More Days Of Great Weather

Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023-SW Michigan-Couple More Days Of Great Weather

Currently 50 with an average wind from the WSW of 3 mph. Feels like 45 degrees. Dew Point 30, Barometer 30, Humidity 47%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:34 am, Sunset 5:18

Sunny today with a high in the upper 50s. SW winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Clear in the evening becoming partly cloudy overnight. Areas of fog. Low in the mid 30s. Light winds.

Today and tomorrow should still be tucked comfortably into warm November weather. Friday will likely usher in some rain and a drop in our temperatures by Saturday. From then on it looks like 40s and 30s will be with us during the daylight hours. This has been delightful, though, even if we knew it couldn’t last forever.

Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023-SW Michigan-Good Until Friday

Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023-SW Michigan-Good Until Friday

Currently 34 with an average wind from the S of 3 mph. Feels like 28 degrees. Dew Point 33, Barometer 30.26, Humidity 71%, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:33 am, Sunset 5:19 pm

Mostly sunny. High in the mid 50s. S winds around 10 mph with gusts to around 20.

Partly cloudy overnight with a low in the upper 30s. S winds 5-15 mph.

Our unusual November temperatures continue right on to the end of the week. Rain should pay us a visit on Friday with a drop of our temperatures down in to the 40-degree range – which is probably more proper for November. Frankly, I wish it could stay at this current comfort zone until about spring – then warm up. Since I have no say in the situation, that won’t happen. But if I had my druthers….

The Jet Stream continues to leave much of our nation with above normal temperatures for the time being. Loving every minute of it. And of course, we all know it can’t and won’t continue forever, but this stretch of lovely weather in November is much appreciated. Anyone with outdoor Christmas decorations would be wise to use these days to their advantage I’m thinking.

Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023-SW Michigan-Warm Spell Continues

Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023-SW Michigan-Warm Spell Continues

Currently 46 with an average wind from the S of 4 mph. Feels like 41 degrees. Dew Point41, Humidity 55%, Barometer 30.25, Visibility 10 mi., Sunrise 7:30 am, Sunset 5:21 pm

Partly sunny until midday becoming mostly sunny. High in the lower 50s. S winds 10-15 mph with gusts to 25.

Partly cloudy in the evening then clearing. Low around 40. S winds 10-15 mph becoming SW 5-15 mph.

This wonderful stretch of warm weather appears to be with us all week right on up to Friday. Expect some rain then, but plenty of sunshine until then. This is not our average November weather and it sure is allowing for clearing up all those outdoor chores that need to be done before the weather changes – as it certainly will eventually. Enjoy it while we have it.

Partly sunny today. High in the mid 40s. Light winds.

Partly cloudy in the evening becoming mostly cloudy. Low in the lower 30s. SE winds 5-10 mph.

We are in a comfortable early November pattern. Sunny days should continue until about next Friday when we can expect some rain.  Pleasant temperatures will remain with us, too. We can’t really expect better than this and most of us are appreciative.
