Been raining off and on all morning and I measured .66″ of rain in the gauge this morning. The bees, swarming over the Hummingbird feeder don’t seem to care whether it’s raining or not. I care that they’re there, however, because this is the time the Hummers need to be feeding heavy – they’re set to fly off any day now. And so far, the bees aren’t allowing the little Hummingbirds in to feed. They’ve been trying, but just can’t get through those rotten bees. And I know. I know. The bees need the food too. But I don’t put that feeder out for them, I do so for the Hummingbirds. Drat!
