Currently 72 with an ENE wind of 9 mph. Feels like 72 degrees, Dew Point 65, Humidity 79%, Barometer 29.98 & rising, Visibility 10 mi, Sunrise 6:42 am, Sunset 8:51 pm. Nothing but a sunny sky today with a high of 84. E winds 5 – 10 mph.
Clear overnight skies, low 62, ESE winds 5 – 10 mph.
A perfect day to be doing just about any and every thing you’d want to be doing on a summer’s day. This is a fine one coming up with not one single thing to complain about in my little world.

Hi there Pat!! I was wondering if the flower blooms in today’s post were queen anne’s lace? I always remember that when you place the bloom in colored water, it changes to the color of the water, whatever it may be – kind of like a chameleon. Queen Anne’s lace resembles this new “weed” that has started growing in our area called “hogweed”. Hogweed is much larger, almost gargantuan in some spots, but the big thing with them is that they are harmful to humans, as if you touch them or even breathe them I believe you will get quite sick. Do you have any “hogweed” out there? Kevin, Not aware of Hogweed, but it wouldn’t surprise me if there wasn’t some here someplace. I have read about it though. Not anything I’d want in my tiny backyard, that’s for sure. The Queen Anne’s Lace – or Bishop’s Lace – is one of my favorite summer ‘flowers’. Yeah, it’s a weed, but summer weeds – like this or Blue Chicory are as beautiful to me as cultivated blossoms.
Thanks Pat. I have not seen any hogweed around the grounds of my apartment complex, but there definitely have been signtings and people in the hospital in the DC region from it. If you see some, you should report it to authorities and they will comeo out and professionally remove it.
On a different note, I was reading your post and noticed that is marked as “uncategorized”. I asked Nathan about it and he said I should bring it up in the WT Contributors Chat group on FACEBOOK. All others I checked are marked as “Weather Report” or “Weather News”. It was a simple action to have the system automatically mark our daily reports as “Weather Report”. Bringing it up in Chat on FB will alert others and should tell you how to get this accomplished.
